Wouldn't it be nice if we had 7 people whose vote wasn't automatic?  Having very liberal and conservative judges on the SCOTUS is embarrassing.
Why only 7?

It would not be nice to have judges who legislate from the bench.  That's how we got to where we are now in large part on many of the divisive issues.

Yep. Certain circuits/districts are evil.

The most common SCOTUS decision historically has been 9-0, with 5-4 being next.  The others are comparatively rare in recent decades.  The first SCOTUS had 6 Justices.  They nearly always were unanimous.

My wife has talked me into another try and pilates (reformer) today.  I tried two classes a while back, she keeps nagging me to do it again.  I didn't "get it" last times.

It's just fancy dressing around doing exercises to strengthen your core. Which is a good thing. Most of us who have spent our lives in mostly sedentary office jobs have weak core muscles.

If you just ignore the flimflam and focus on the workout, I think you'll be more likely to "get it". After years knowing you on this forum, I'm pretty sure that all that excess flimflam is what you're not "getting". So just ignore it.

A 5 year-old came up with this, right?
"I know, let's plant a bajillion trees!"
.
I love how the republicans' reluctantly acknowledging they were wrong is just glossed over.  FFS
That's an over-generalization.

I would like to see others acknowledging being wrong too.

This "reformer Pilates" doesn't have anything I'd call flim flam, they are private lessons, the teacher lady asks me questions and instructs me to do various and sundry, mostly stretching in odd ways (to me).  I'd done two of them previously, my wife says I have to stay at it to see a benefit.  I guess.

And yes, it would be nice if all Justices were not at all political, but they are.

I think planting trees can help

I think like a 5 year old at times - some of my better thoughts

I don't think there's any single silver bullet

it's gonna take everything humans can throw at it to make even a small difference

as for being right or wrong???

I don't think many republicans deny greenhouse gases are or could be a cause of some climate change (even Longhorn320)

is it right or wrong to simply throw money at an issue w/o calculating the benefits, if any?

A cost:benefit analysis of the various measures to combat climate change would be laughably off the wall and incredible, literally.
