The WSJ does the weirdest thing with this.

The clearly have someone doing some light analysis with the data. And whatever it is always makes it a real challenge to see the full picture. (A side effect is that I also can’t tell is there’s some way they’re adjusting for population, which the raw data does not do)

Like, I download the report, and the percentages are nowhere to be found. So I do the basic year over year math, and still not there.

I don’t doubt that set of states has seen an increase in personal income, though the particular conclusion strikes me as a bit of pattern seeing to bolster an opinion piece.

A weird thing about "reality", if you pass light through a polarizing filter, about half of it comes out plane polarized,

If you pass that light through another filter at 90° to the first, nothing can pass.

If you insert a filter at 45° between the first and last polarizing filter, you suddenly get an eighth of the light passing through all three.

Reality is very strange.

Back in the NW burbs again - got in last night after another delay. 

People around here don't smile a lot. Wait staff is indifferent in general.

Then I realize I'm not in Florida.

Oh, and one more thing... Tesla sucks. Never again.

I have driven several Teslas and they were just not well put together vehicles.   

Add that IMO- they are ugly as sin-never had even remote interest in them.

My stepson rented a Tesla to drive to Cincy from here and liked it, my wife liked it a lot after a short ride.  I looked it over a bit for fit and finish and didn't see any overt flaws.  I am surprised they have not upgraded their models yet cosmetically.
