I've been occasionally booted out of what I'm watching on Hulu and sent back to the initial login screen.  I'm not sure if it was limited to Fox News.  Going forward I'll take closer note of the circumstances when it happens.

That interview of the IRS Supervisor whistleblower Gary Shapley Jr last night by Bret Baier was something.

And scary.

Again, we've been getting booted regularly, and it has only been Fox News. It doesn't matter to us, because we don't watch the other shows. I'm just trying to figure out why. The spooling thing is annoying too.

We're on satellite, the only time I watch news briefly is when there is a commercial on the Braves game and I switch to a channel that has CNN/Fox/MSNBC/BBC news on at the same time.  It's interesting to see which stories are being featured.

In these times of streaming services overtaking cable, it probably is worth trying to figure out who owns what.

We like watching Bret Baier on Fox - 6PM. He's not a blowhard at all, gets good/smart/bi-partisan guests and he runs his show like a journalist should.

Anyway, we've noticed over the past month or so that when that show is over and the next one starts (Watters, for now - we generally don't watch him), Hulu kicks us out of the channel and back to the home screen - roughly 5-10 seconds in.

Just for kicks and testing, the last few nights I've gone to Fox News when other shows begin, and the same thing happened.

Fox News is being intentionally shut off by Hulu, I believe. This does not happen on any other channel we look at.

Anyone else have this kind of stuff happen?

It’s possible this is a dirty trick.

Much more likely it’s crappy tech, maybe augmented by something crappy with Fox’s tech. I wonder if however Hulu let’s you record shows has something to do with it.

Hulu is owned by the mouse.

(Wiki actually says it's 67% the mouse, 33% Comcast thru NBCUniversal, but the 33% is being sold to the mouse with the sale currently pending.)

It's moot anyway, for us. In a few weeks we will be switching. Our internet provider is installing fiber through our neighborhood and they also provide you with their own version of a Roku, and their own content.

We might have to pay more to get BTN, etc., but it's not clear yet.

My biggest problem with Hulu is it will sometimes skip the end of a show at a commercial break and start the next episode.

I don't think so. Their offerings are more fringe, for the most part.

Like Newsmax stuff and far left stuff... which we don't look at.
