I like cats just fine, I strongly prefer dogs, but have neither.

I will say the bulldog as a breed probably shouldn't exist...:smiley_confused1:

Put the old dryer out on the curb last night as I'd scheduled a "bulk item pickup" with the trash company for this morning.

Woke up today and it was gone. I know it wasn't taken by the trash company as the neighbor's couch (I had told them I was scheduling and they said they had an item) was still sitting there. So someone must have grabbed it thinking "hey, some idiot probably put a 99% perfectly good dryer out here and I can try my hand at fixing it, flip it, and make couple hundred bucks!"

Well, joke's on you, buddy. I took the motor out to return, took the heat element (including the heat element housing) out b/c the new dryer uses the exact same element and I want to have it on hand if it burns out, and reassembled everything with the minimum number of screws necessary to hold it together, so you're down half or more of the screws.

Good luck! It's your problem now!

They won't let me give blood anymore. The burnt orange color scares the hell out of the doctors.

It could still be useful for spares, as noted.

My buddy in Cincy would stop and pick up any lawn mower left out at the curb, he musta had 30 of'em at one time.  He'd sell'em for $50 later.  He liked to fix things, and didn't like throwing things out.  He's retired now, still living there, I'd hate to see what he has collected, he has a barn on his property full of stuff.

I shit you not right after I posted that I *think* one came into the waiting room. I brushed it off, thinking I was mistaken but my wife, who was back with the Dr, asked me later if I saw that “manly looking woman “.

When you do brisket at home- roughly how long does it take?

about 8 beers

Heh, indeed, a fine answer.

It depends on the size obviously, but I generally shoot for an 11-12 lb brisket.  Cooking around 300, one of those will usually finish in about 8-10 hours.  I don't typically crutch a brisket, I leave it unwrapped.  I could shave a little time off if I crutched it but as long as I have the meat on by 6 AM, then there's really no need to hurry it along. It'll be ready between 2-4 and if we're not eating til 5 or 6, it'll easily hold in a cooler until we're ready to eat.

I may try one of these, one day, maybe, for the two of us.  Would there  be enough for her to try some?

A 12 lb brisket?  Yes, sure, there would definitely be enough for the two of you.
