Not everyone.

I have a vetting process for people who buy on our street. Just a little inquisition is all.

if the government wasn't wasting time and money on that goose chase, they'd just be wasting it on something else

OK if it scrambles it into actually doing something

I'm not sure why the issue can't be addressed

of course they can't seem to address the budget and debt-ceiling until it's too late

I often think such issues as immigration won't be "solved", or even addressed, because both parties benefit from having it as a wedge issue.  I can think of all sorts of compromises neither would accept.  It would damage their fund raising.  Same with the debt ceiling, and many other things like gun control.  Wedge issues = $$$$$$$$$$$$

the lazy losers in Washington really don't want to do anything except get reelected.

It can't be good for the country

Yes, the game is reelection.  I'm still amazed at all the 70+ year olds running for reelection each time, some of them clearly way past prime.  They thrive on the power and status, if they retired, they be a nobody (like me).

Not based on their thoughts on the subject, mind you. It was overturned because it was an unconstitutional decision in the first place. Even RBG admitted this.

Congress could codify it. But it won't.

That's why mandatory retirement age is going to work far better than term limits.

As for the Dobbs decision, ask Republicans how it feels to be the dog who catches the car. Especially in Michigan.

I don't see any realistic prospect for age limits and Congress.  Or term limits.  Or much of anything.  The "Compact of the States" to basically sidestep the EC could happen in a few years, that would be epic.

reminds me of the 70+ musicians still on tour at small venues such as casinos
clearly way past prime

but, they'd be nobody otherwise
