It’s an odd space.

The issue is it’s hard to define and we very, very often fall into tribal camps when it comes to what gets called out as “censorship.”

It also feeds into a perpetuation of victimhood that is now woven into our discussion of policy.
Welp, the New York Post censoring thing is a bad look now, and it's gonna get worse.

It is an interesting space for sure. I haven't paid a ton of attention to the Twitter files thing, but it doesn't sound great.

The other thing is the sensationalizing of news stories, or even just complete lies in reporting.

A lot of the media likes to crap on my state and its leadership. So much of it is just not factual.

And "they" get away with it.

No solution is worth mentioning if it's falling on deaf ears.

The Post thing was dumb, but for the most part lasted a day and did nothing but bring attention to the post.

The Twitter files … more noise than anything else (with some problematic reporting errors and omissions), but they did get to feed the whole woe is me narrative.

May have also changed an election outcome (the obvious goal).

Because of the censorship?

I continue to view the "news media" as more for entertainment than "news", it's akin to ESPiN to me.

I think one can divine a reasonable notion of what's really happening by reading and considering a lot of different sources of information, bearing in mind it's basically all spin.

Atlanta tops two more national lists: One good, one dismal | Urbanize Atlanta

Sorta funny, in an obscure way ...  good for new grads, bad for buying a house (using Zillow of all things).

Yep.

Laptop from hell may have changed things, but the story was censored by big tech and covered up by intelligence as Russian disinformation.

That's why we no longer watch. And another bonus is we no longer have to turn on ESecPN to see the B1G anymore.

It was "former US intel" individuals who signed a letter suggesting it had "the hallmarks of Russian disinformation" ... a claim which arguably could be true.

What?  Do you know how many considered “ experts” signed?

and no- under no circumstances could that claim be arguably true.
