This location is where that Italian restaurant is.  The shooting may have been in an apartment building or a hospital, it's not clear.  I'm at home.  I'm hearing helicopters outside.  We're a mile distant.

This made national headlines.

Talking about the shooting happening inside Northside Medical Center (where we had rehab back when).   This is basically medical offices of various types.  Unfortunately a shooter has a lot of places to hide and could even have gotten to the subway from there.  I'm hearing sireens all over and helicopters overhead.  I'm staying inside obviously.

My wife is uptown at a doctor's office.

I can't imagine why anyone would want to shoot up this medical center aside from being out of his mind.

Atlanta police have identified the man accused of killing at least one person and injuring several others Wednesday as 24-year-old Deion Patterson.
“Call 911— DO NOT approach him,” the tweet from APD said.
Police said the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.

One definition is where four or more are shot (wounded or killed).  So this would be that.

As they have a hard ID, I'd think they should catch him fairly soon, I hope anyway.  My wife is home safe.

That's an "up and coming" area, a lot of new construction nearby.

Yes, how dare someone let their actual experiences shape their perceptions. 

we see it all the time. Like the lady in NYC
who recently railed publicly about crime because her husband was viciously murdered in broad daylight.  The Mayor and the media basically told her to shut up because crime is down ( how they measure it-of course).  To your point- there are millions of people walking around on the streets every day in NYC who are not murdered.
