Live updates: Russia's war in Ukraine (cnn.com)
Live updates: Russia's war in Ukraine (cnn.com)

Ukraine’s counteroffensive appears imminent.
The country's front lines are abuzz with vehicle movement and artillery strikes, with regular explosions hitting vital Russian targets in occupied areas. President Volodymyr Zelensky has assured a counteroffensive “will happen," while demurring on any exact start date.
It may have already started; it may be weeks away. We don’t know – but Ukrainians, whom CNN spoke to in Kyiv, are pinning their hopes on this much-anticipated counteroffensive.
Tetiana Kolle-Kolesnikova, 35, left her town Volnovakha in the Donetsk region in the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion. Now she lives and works in Kyiv as a manicurist.
“I expect that our army will win in any case and take back all the occupied territories. And our family will finally be able to return home and see their homeland. We miss home very much," she told CNN.
US media needs to stop lying to it's own population about this war and stop concealing the depth of the US govt involvement in it.

Ukraine is not going to win. Period. That is just the reality of the situation. All that is happening and all that will continue to happen is continued massive population flight, high casualties to those that are forced to stay and can't leave, the complete and utter destruction of Ukraine's entire infrastructure and large swaths of it's housing, Ukraine becoming enslaved by debt to the US govt and wall street vultures like BlackRock (which Zelensky sheepishly bragged about- my only conclusion is he's in on the take), and high ranking Ukraine govt officials enriching themselves by skimming hundreds of millions of dollars of said US aid for their own personal gain and stashing it in off-shore accts.

Everything Ukraine has received has been via lend leasing programs, you know- the same type of aid programs the US offered to the British in WWII- which the British had to service debt payments on for like oh.....70 years. Ukraine is going to be completely destroyed by the time this war is over and those people will be enslaved in debt for an entire generation to the US and what's left over and rebuilt will be owned by Wall Street pigs and the actual everyday working people of that country will basically own nothing.

professor and computer scientist Geoffrey Hinton aka "The Godfather of AI", one of the early pioneers of artificial neural networks (AI) has quit his work at Google so he could freely speak out about the dangers of this technology and is warning governments of the world to shut down AI research.

it's nothing but a puff piece bullsh!t PR from CNN for the US govt in an attempt at trying to sell/manufacture consent of the US population for continued support ($$$$$) by selling false hope that Ukraine stands a chance, when in reality, they do not.

Is there a specific lie in the article I cited?

What false hope is it selling?  That Ukraine may mount a counter offensive?  I rather expect one, I of course can't know the results, nor does the article suggest a result.

If Ukraine is completely destroyed by Russia, as you assert is inevitable, then they won't need to worry about debt payments or non debt payments to the US, or anyone else.

I don't foresee any Ukrainian offensive going to the gates of Moscow (nor does that article suggest any such thing).  I think there will be an attempt to regain some ground (which Ukraine already has done to some extent).  I don't see any lie in the article anywhere.

That'd be a silly waste of time and resources, but Russia has acted with such blind stupidity thus far, that nothing would surprise me.

We need to figure out a solution for our large city shopping districts.  Companies are rightfully pulling out, but with them goes a large tax base.  With more workers going remote, office leasing is way down too

There's a lot of heads in the sand out there right now.

The sale of this Office Tower in SF on California Street is going to really leave a mark on commercial real estate.   The Sale is expected to be $60m, or 75% off market price from 2020.   Hardly a dump but mostly vacant and emblematic of a market that is in shambles.  It's sad.

I respectfully disagree with you Mdot21.  Ukraine has a very good chance to re-claim much of its occupied territory once the ground dries out later this Spring or Summer.  At this point the only way I see Russia winning is if the EU and West stop supplying Ukraine.  Even if China starts supplying Russia or Russia resorts to using nuclear weapons it is not a sure path to victory for Russia.
