Sadly Jeep has not really historically been known for quality. The Wrangler is something you buy despite its reliability reputation, not because of it.

Absolutely.  When we bought my wife's Wrangler, I was under no illusion that it was going to be particularly reliable.  Although I will say that in our 3 years of owning it, we've had zero issues.  Knock on wood.

These days, even an "unreliable" car is probably on par with any Toyota 30 years ago, probably better.  You can still stumble across a lemon of course, but in the main, reliability is not a thing any more IMHO.

Interesting regarding rescission...

Seems SCOTUS has never addressed the issue. States tried to rescind ratification of the 14th and 15th amendments before they took effect. For the 14th, two states attempted to rescind. The Secretary of State asked Congress who said they didn't recognize rescission, so he certified the amendment. For the 15th, he simply certified it over the objective of one state who attempted to rescind.

Later Tennessee attempted to rescind AFTER the 19th took effect, and it was [rightly] ignored as the amendment was already certified.

If the ERA is pushed through on this basis, I would expect that at least one of the states in question will sue, and it could create a VERY interesting SCOTUS case.

speaking of all that Tucker Carlson talk, the short video clip he released on his Twitter where he addressed his Fox dismissal and his future received nearly 60 million views in 24 hrs.

Good luck trying to replace someone with that kind of following/star power Murdoch.

Im sure right now they are trying to come up with a way of avoiding him going out and getting his own show or at least delay it as long as possible

correct. he actually technically is not fired. he's still a Fox employee and is bound by contract from working for anyone else. he'll have to negotiate an exit which allows him to go work for someone else or start his own company.

Star power?
All they need is someone willing to go even further right.  Duh.  Effortlessly replace him tomorrow.

further right? Tucker Carlson was/is popular because he often times espoused views far left of the "far right" (Mitch McConnell, Mitt Romney, pick any right/far right establishment republican variety type you like).

He was literally the only anti-war voice on all of US cable tv news. That's hardly "far right".

nah. different day and age from O'Reilly's heyday, landscape has changed drastically. That industry is dying. Streaming/YouTube independent news shows/podcasts are crushing the cable tv networks ratings. Not to mention Carlson was/is had a far bigger following- especially in the key demo (25-44) than that loud dumb smelly geriatric perverted old f&ck O'Reilly could ever dream of having- even in his heyday when it was much easier to have audience capture.

They'll find someone even more viral worthy.  Or someone will change their persona to fit what their viewers want, just like Tucker did

As Carlson did in the first place.  These folks are opportunists.

They need folks who can "read" their audience, much like a fake preacher, and give them what they want.

Interesting take. I've always looked at the number of people leaving. This is more about the money leaving. It's an editorial, but still cites good data and does not appear to manipulate it.
