Fair.  I should say nobody was easy to cheer for.  It was easy to root against vs. bland, and then all of those guys who were easy to root against, joined LIV.  I like Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth, but I still don't know if I could tell them apart.

And in fairness, I don't know that I could have separated Brooks Koepka, until he picked a fight with Bryson, the one easy guy to hate.  But then he became the early 2000s Red Sox, pretending to be the good alternative to the Yankees, in their own mind, but were actually just the less successful version
Ahh, I get you there.

But I do give the Euro Tour credit, trying to do some things to make these guys a little more "real":

The Euro Tour has never struggled to find personalities.  They've struggled to find golfers who can play non-link courses

Oh he's super easy to root for.  Just hard to recognize.  Same as Justin Thomas.  Couple of country club guys with no personality to love or hate.

As a lefty, Phil was my easy rooting interest for a while.  Now.  Eh.  I root for non LIV Americans, so once Spieth got into it this weekend, we were all Team Spieth, but, as he typically does, once he's in contention he gets in his own head, which is 75% of professional golf.  All these guys are amazing

BTW I once saw a pairing that was Billy Horschel and Patrick Cantlay.

Watching them everywhere, but especially on the greens, was like the Special Olympics, if OCD was added as a qualifying condition.

I never understood how someone picked a favorite golfer or NASCAR driver.  Seemed especially random to me.
Aside from liking the best guy (Ehrnhardt, Nicklaus, Woods), is it purely a public persona thing?  How he interviews?
It can't be, "Boy, I love the way he putts!" or "Damn, look at that left-handed turn!"

@longhorn320 thanks for reporting me to some batshit crazy mod from Area 51.  For name-calling.  On a weeks-old thread.
a)  you never get to call someone a snowflake, ever again
b)  what do you want for your 8th birthday?

We usually pick a favorite sports team because of our location (in some cases because of religion or that our parents attended).  Why do we have a favorite sport anyway?  I don't pay any attention to the NBA, I don't care for the style of play.  Nor ice hockey, nor soccer.  I might watch a few minutes of the odd game there.  Girl's softball?  Same.

I figure any NASCAR I watch are excerpts on youtube for 2 minutes, if that.  Friends of mine have told me that going to an event is very different and a something.  Maybe I should.  I used to watch a bit of golf back in the day.  There might be a guy I liked that day, Tiger or Jack, for the tournament.  I think one tends to favor one team over another in watching some random sport, often for us it's the underdog.  If "we" watch ND play Marshall in CFB, most of us will pull for Marshall until the game gets to be a blow out and then we turn the channel.

As for the OAM thread in A51, it is typically "unusual" and I'm not sure anyone reported anyone, not that reporting someone makes a difference with very few exceptions.

I see no evidence of anyone reporting anything. I also never received any notification, and I get email notifications whenever someone reports something. It's been a LONG time since I've seen one of those.
