Great work. I started my gym routine back up today. Hopefully I'll get good results.
Good luck!

I go to our gym most days, and/or run, and I'm building back up to 100 pushups a day in three sets.  It helps, but age is definitely working against me.

Yeah, one of the things I've finally added is dedicated strength work. I feel like I've spent the last 25 years not doing anything strength-specific, which was fine when I was in my 20s and 30s, but will be catching up with me like a mofo as I'm hitting 45 this year.

Plus, if doing strength (and core strength) work helps me hit a little white ball farther, that's a win, right?!

The Mrs. and I have been going to barbell classes at the local gym regularly the last couple of months. Having not picked up an iron weight since high school, the first few times were

I've also been trying to learn how to swim. It's a work in progress.

A few weeks back, I jacked up my ankle and then calf as a result of stumbling while trying to run 10 miles (well, successfully running 10 miles, but more than half of it was on a compromised ankle).

Since then, we mostly have stuck to upper body work, which isn’t bad, but I don’t think I’m pushing myself enough.

Today I tried my second run since getting dinged up. Only 3 miles, and early diagnosis involves calf soreness on the affected leg and a little Achilles weirdness on the other side

I don't run. If you see me running, you should start running or be prepared to kill what's chasing me. And given that I'm 6'5", 265#, and a 2nd degree black belt, you probably need to be heavily armed to kill whatever is chasing me.

It sounds like I’ve just gotta run faster than you.

Anytime you tweak an ankle or knee, it's a sonofabitch.  Mobility is kind of a big deal.

Thank you for proving mine. You weren’t insulted- your clearly extremely proud of your wokeness.

you have the biggest lack of self awareness of anyone. You want to talk shit about Fox. Fine. But you overlook the same behavior- only worse, more consistent, more obvious and more damaging- from the woke ( your tribe) MSM.

Get back to us when you can explain away, or apologize on behalf of XiNN or MSDNC on any of the following orchestrated lies that are still ongoing:
- Brett Kavanaugh is a serial Rapist
-Russia Russia collusion
- Hunter’s Laptop
- 2 weeks to flatten the curve
-the vaccine won’t work ( Trumps Vaccine)
-now that the vegetable Biden is in charge, The vaccine works and will prevent you from getting sick
-masks are effective
- we never wanted to defund the police
-BLM riots all across the country are peaceful
—police officers were killed on Jan 6
- the origin of Covid possibly coming from a China Lab is a conspiracy

we will just start there with a small few of the lies that were, and are factually debunked that your woke friends in the media champion.
You're obviously a radical....not an insult, just describing that you're far, far away from center.
Hanz!  Bubby!

Just because you're a radical doesn't mean that people who disagree with you are also radicals.
I know there's nothing I could suggest that you'd acknowledge or agree with.
You don't care about my opinions about the items on your list.  You blindly lump me in with the radicals on the left.

As I've said many times, I'm sorry I'm not the caricature you seemingly wish I was.

I love it when you radical wokesters project your own characteristics on to those who see through them.  😂😂.  The libtard playbook.

as you have repeatedly illustrated on this forum through the years you are as far left of center as you could possibly be. Most of the folks around here are pretty close to the center and that’s why you always have to refer to everyone here as a “ echo chamber”.
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.

Ya know, I've owned boats for half of my life, and I really can't swim. I can swim in my pool, but in lakes or oceans I get weirded out. I really like being on top of the water, but I can't walk on it.

Probably could do enough to not drown, but that's about it. It's a work in progress.

The smoke alarm saga (cont.):

So, yesterday it starts beeping again.  My wife finds 2 9V bats that are both corroded as heck.  So, I'm off to CVS to buy a 4 pack ($23).  Replace the battery again (I figured the one I used was dead also).  Fine, but the bat door won't close, whatever.

This morning around 0400 it starts beeping again.  I read a bit on line and notice the bat door is supposed to be closed, I order a new smoke alarm.  Old one still beeping.  After my wife gets up, I try again to close the bat door, and force it closed.  No more beeping.  Yay.  Order cancelled.

I had to really push the little door to get it closed, anyway, you might encounter this issue some day.

Our smoke alarms are all connected to one another and when the battery in one dies, they all start beeping meaning that you essentially have to replace all of the batteries at the same time. And it usually happens in the middle of the night. What a pain in the rear.
