The articles’ title ( GOP addicted to voter fraud) is what renders the rest immediately not worthy of reading.

It is flawed, not fact based, inflammatory and and reasonable argument could be made that it is the opposite of the truth.

Seems  odd to me that you would post it here.  Seems like it belongs in one of those unmoderated threads.

And yes- MSNBC is correctly and widely viewed as so far on the left extreme - way beyond CNN or Fox. So it makes total sense to dismiss their garbage. And so- millions do.

Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.

This is amazing.

At 4:40 AM, I awoke to this rather loud chirping sound, which also woke my wife.  In my early morning fog, I wasn't sure what it was until I washed my eyes out a bit and realized it was the smoke alarm signaling the battery was dead.  I stumbled downstairs trying to recall where I might have a 9V, found one, replaced it, and stopped the chirping, but now I'm up, she's not, but I made coffee.

World Happiness Report: The world's happiest countries for 2023 | CNN
World Happiness Report: The world's happiest countries for 2023 | CNN

The Nordic countries fare well, but Israel is #4?  Huh.  One thing, for me, is how "happiness" relates to "expectations" (hopes and dreams).  If you don't expect much, it's easier to be happy.  I've met folks, we all have, who seem to "have it all" and yet are unhappy.

Israel moves up to No. 4 this year from its No. 9 ranking last year. The Netherlands (No. 5), Switzerland (No. 8), Luxembourg (No. 9) and New Zealand (No. 10) round out the top 10.

Australia (No. 12), Canada (No. 13), Ireland (No. 14), the United States (No. 15) and the United Kingdom (No. 19) all made it into the top 20.

Legit point, I actually skipped over it.  It is an opinion piece, so I grant latitude in such things, but it is a sign of "bias".  I thought perhaps someone could rebut the piece with other information the writer failed to offer, but I understand the point that such drivel isn't worth one's time.

(I almost never watch news on TV because it's so much faster to read on line.  My wife turns on the local news at times when I'm around, mostly for weather, which I also prefer to read on line.  I can't get excited that the temperature in Covington is 2° lower than in Rome.  We get the BBC on our cable provider, and they offer a kind of different "slant" on news, more international and less US focused.  I glance at that for a few if I'm bored and tired of watching replays of CFB games from last season ....)

The US of course faces something similar with SS and Medicare, and anyone in Congress who proposes ANYTHING to fix them gets pilloried.  Third rail of politics etc.

So, we drift along closer and closer to danger, knowing it's there, doing nothing about it.

And true.
What is your evidence?
You know, like actual texts and emails that prove what a "news" organization knew was false and still "reporting" it.  Real evidence that they care more about ratings and stock prices than the truth.
Things like that.
.
I'm looking forward to your forthcoming word salad.  Got my ranch dressing at the ready.

I'm pretty sure MSNBC is viewed by many/most as being far left, whether one uses the term "extreme" is qualitative, and whether they are more extreme than Fox News is also an opinion.  They certainly cater to their audience.  I glance at their web site occasionally mostly to see what they are going on about, same with Fox News (for me).

"Trump is bad, Biden is bad" is the usual drift of things.

If you look up "word salad" you will find that. Not even reduced-fat ranch can help it.

None of these are news sites. They are opinion and entertainment sites. I wish people knew the difference, but only 10 percent (Maybe???) know it.
