Love reading the home defense posts. I approach home defense a little differently, I'm more worried about collateral damage, than any property being taken or damaged. My daughters bedroom goes across the steps to our downstairs. I live is suburbia and a house to my west is only 16 feet away from mine.

Those Desert Eagles you guys are toting can go through 4 walls and still have stopping power, I don't want that..

That actually happened to an old roommate of mine (long after we were done being roommates) not too far from you, at the south end of Hilliard school district.

Anyone here do the Peloton thing?

We bought one last June while I was on my little sojourn from this site (missed y'all BTW), and I can say it's changed my relationship with exercise. Instead of being something I dread, it's actually something I look forward to.

Wife and I have lost about 15 lbs each, but more important, we're feeling stronger and better. And 7 months in, it's still not an expensive clothes rack lol.

A buddy of mine fell into that. Says it got him into a really good rhythm.

We recently purchased something kinda similar....it has moving resistance handlebars like an elliptical, but it's a bike.  Though not nearly as nice as a Pelaton.  I'm aiming for 20 mins a day but I'm very hit and miss.

Yeah, tracking it I ended up doing just under 4.5K minutes from June 25 to the end of the year, which is a little over 20 per day on average.

I'm actually shooting for 15K this year, which is a little over 40 per day. That might be tough to hit. They have annual challenges. I was going to shoot for 10K, then realized I should shoot for 1K/month, but there isn't a 12K badge; the next step up is 15K. So I'm like "might as well go for 15K dammit!"

However, that's not just bike exercises. It includes strength or stretching workouts through the app, and can even track long walks, hiking, etc. I don't run, but it can be used to track outdoor runs too.

If you had told me 7 months ago that I'd be chasing badges on the Peloton, I'd tell you "Badges? Badges?! I don't need no steeenkin' badges!" Turns out it actually motivates me lol...

Yeah, until Kyle Orton fumbled the Heisman.

Not gonna get into that.

I haven't watched a Purdue sporting event since the NCAAT last year.

I don't plan to watch another Purdue sporting event unless they A) get to the Rose Bowl or B) make it to the Final Four.

Since neither of those things are likely to happen in my lifetime, I'd say my schedule has cleared up significantly.

I hear ya.

Good thing I'm a big fan of volleyball and college baseball, or else my sporting world would be pretty bleak.
