you guys ever try the Japanese A5 wagyu? I bought a NY strip and a ribeye at couple different butcher shops to cook at home. Want to say they were $119/lbs and $129/lbs. Totally definitely 100% not worth it imo. Think that sh*t is just a gimmick. And it's so fatty you really can't eat more than 4-6 oz without getting a stomach ache.
Agree 100 percent. Can't eat that stuff.

yeah you don't even cook it with oil, and by the time it's done cooking so much fat has rendered out it looks like you cooked the steak with a gallon of oil. it's kinda gross imo.

I'm an arrogant wealthy Texican, that's peanuts to me.  I wipe mud off my boots with $100 bills.

I feel the same way about dry aged steaks.  They have a certain flavor I guess I'm not used to.  My wife likes ribeyes so I usually get them at Costco (or a local butcher).  And she like the tenderloin as well.  I've mentioned flatirons before, they have the best overall flavor in my opinion.

dude 100% agree. I bought a dry aged tomahawk from wild fork, $80. Bought the regular ass tomahawk from them a week later, $30. Couldn't tell a difference hardly at all. It's like, why did I waste that $50 for?

Dry aging adds a certain flavor that can be off-putting to some (and at times me).

And yeah - flat iron is my favorite steak. Hard to find it here.

is there a wild fork near you? google it, meats are all froze but they literally have every kind of cut and every single meat you can think of. it's honestly kinda nuts.

I was thinking about joining their website. It's like $2.50/month and it includes shipping.

oh man if they ship right to your house I'd say do it. they have everything you can think of. prime, dry aged, wagyu- every single cut of meat and every single type of meat from ostrich to alligator to lamb to bison- even lot of seafood. pretty good quality stuff as well imo.

I googled it. It’s actually owned by some giant conglomerate out of Brazil called JBS.
