I think flood damage is often a rider, earthquake damage as well.

Homeowner's Insurance is like it is in any other state.

Your lender might require flood insurance if your home is in a flood zone, just like any other state.

(Given what I do for a living, you can probably guess that I would never buy a house in a flood zone.)

Hurricane insurance is a completely separate rider to a policy.

(We currently have it, but we will consider dropping it on the next renewal.)
