I think it makes sense to have a suitable barrier along major portions of the border, it might not be a "wall" in every location obviously.  Folks get caught up in  extremes instead of common sense.

Nope, but the wall at the border should be. It should also have cameras and drones helping out.

Actually, Buckeye made an excellent response.  Borders need protection to keep unwanted people from getting in, just like Prisons need protection to keep unwanted people from getting out.  The size of the wall is immaterial, and as stated, in some places it's not really a wall, not physically anyways.
