Fed is on a path to raise rates to the “ restrictive “ level.  They are going hard after inflation.  They already killed the surplus supply side- now they are moving to kill demand.  Going to be rough for consumers and small businesses

I have two boats, one of which is for sale, and I think I'm going have two boats for a long time coming.

Nobody is gonna buy a boat in this environment.

Makes zero sense what they are doing imo. Inflation has been out of control due to the complete collapse of world wide supply chains because: China- followed immediately by insane asinine sanctions/embargo/trade war with Russia- the worlds largest exporter of natural gas, fertilizer, grain, and the worlds second largest exporter of oil. No big deal- you know- just all the very most essential things the world needs to like...live...and have actual functioning societies and economies.

Instead of US gov't getting real on the China problem and passing legislation to accelerate the pivoting of supply chains out of China they do basically nothing. And instead of trying to use diplomacy TO END THE WAR in Ukraine- US keeps egging the world on to basically go full trade war with one of the most important countries on planet earth while they constantly without any question or opposition from either party- pump countless tens of billions into Ukraine to prolong death and destruction- where huge % of that US taxpayer money is just getting stolen by a corrupt bureaucracy- and we're suppose to sit here and pretend like everything is cool. Lol.

Let's not try to do anything about those problems though- let's just continue on this path and keep raising interest rates and try to squeeze consumers and small business with interest raise hikes and increased taxes. Lol. The people running this country at the highest levels truly are the enemy of the people of the United States.

On a long term scale interest rates are not that high. They have been fairly low to abnormally low for most of this century.
