I was having a convo with a friend's husband who served. Had some interesting thoughts on some of our adversaries projecting much more power than they really have, not unlike Russia. 

Russia being run by a kleptocracy is a bad recipe for a competent military, granted, there aren't many of those around, pound for pound.

unless shipping THOUSANDS of illegal immigrants by bus and train, under cover of darkness in the middle of the night- to Florida and Pennsylvania, etc- is also kidnapping. The big differences of course are one is being hidden and one is being done transparently with an approved legal budget.  

Well, that and the fact that those communities now receiving them- the Martha’s vineyards of our world- are 80 plus % white, but are the loudest voices screaming about diversity.  Funny how they have completely changed their tune when the rubber has met the road.

By all accounts morale in that military is rock bottom.

Russia can't win without doing the unthinkable. And I would not put it past that asshole to do it on his way out.

I can't help but think if the roles were reversed, you'd change your mind on most every political point you make.
