A larger audience doesn't imply a better product.  Shit-ass Budweiser gets well over 5x the market share of actual good beer.  People like shitty products, film at 11.

But I certainly agree with your point that the television networks aren't dumb enough to go against the idiot mouth-breathing NFL fan masses.
Ha! I don’t disagree with nfl fans being mouth breathers. Plenty of cfb fans are as well though lol.

I suspect nfl is so big mainly bc of the betting and fantasy football aspect.

I love football, so I watch them both. I tend to like the college game better though and watch more of that.

That looks pretty good.

I've always (so far?) found the meat to bread ratio to be too small in Europe.

"Where's the Beef?" so to speak.

There are definitely mouth breathers in the college ranks, but the NFL fanship is still a lot more blue collar.

And I don't actually dislike the NFL product, I just find it less interesting and less compelling than the college game, despite being a physically and technically superior version of the game.  Of course, every year they seem to ruin some more of the college football tradition, make it a little more like the NFL, and consequently every year my interest in college football diminishes just a little more.

Anyway, I looked back at my response to what you said, and thought it seemed overly aggessive, and wanted to clarify.  I pretty much agree with you on all counts.

I really just wanted to take a pot-shot at Budweiser and especially pot-stirring Husker fans who drink that swill. ;)
