The thing about pomme frites for me is they taste like potatoes.  The fries here taste like salt and grease.  That is a thing they do better than us.

My wife tends to prefer CA wines and I lean to French or Italian wines, broadly speaking.

I'd like to try a steak in Argentina sometime, I hear they do it right.

I still remember a lunch in Sorrento, I had spaghetti, it was marvelous, I kept thinking "Why is this so good?".

Being facetious of course I believe they may have been a Yanquis creation.Pretty sure the Belgians make better suds. Didn't they store grains up in barns attic's and then some yeasts float around and thru the vents that completed their recipre or sumsuch?
Sorta like that.  Belgians brew some of their beers using an open fermentation technique, so the wild yeasts that are floating in the air, make it into the open primary fermenter, and become responsible for the flavors in the beer.

The Ligurian fisherman's stew I had in Riomagiorre, Cinque Terre, might be the single best meal I've ever eaten in my entire life.

Simple techniques, fresh ingredients. It's an Italian thing.

I'm pretty hard on restaurants, but this place is both fairly modestly priced and really really good, but they don't serve Q or grits.

Watching 93 Wisconsin vs MSU on BTN......
Theyre playing in a japanese baseball park?  Why??

MSU's green is light, like a true green or kelly green.

MSU players are kind of assholey.  Late hits, pushing, etc.

Wisconsin is playing for a RB birth......I see plenty of Fletcher, but Moss is having a big game, too.

SUPER weird a late-season conference game is being played overseas

The goal line stripes are like 10-12 inches wide.  Weird.

UW gave up a home game to play in Japan. It needed the money badly at that time.

Watching the Weird Science movie. Imagine how badly it would be received if a pair of 15 year old girls were seen having sex etc with a 30 year old man.

Talk about a double standard.

PS…Kelly Lebrock was smoking hot in the day.
