Uhh, okay, good luck finding x-number of identical sites, lol.
France does this, I presume we can as well.  They also reprocess spent fuel to reduce waste.

I think the main point is without nuclear we can't really do much to reduce CO2 production and nuclear is effectively off the table as an option.  Replacing coal would be a good objective in my mind, and nuclear is the most obvious option for that, but, we can't do it for PR reasons in effect.

It's a Kobayashi Maru situation.

The PWR plants were all developed by Framatome (now Areva) from the initial Westinghouse design.[73][74][75] All currently operating PWR plants are of three design variations, having output powers of 900 MWe, 1300 MWe, and 1450 MWe. The repeated use of these standard variants of a design has afforded France the greatest degree of nuclear plant standardization in the world.

All that would change from site to site is the ground conditions. I too never understood why each reactor needed its own design, when all that really changes is the substructure. Even the cooling effluent conditions are the same - it's all contained in a pipe.

My kids sent me the painting for F Day, I finally got it framed and hung.  The reflections are not that bad in real life.  My wife bought me the periodic table.  This is in my "office" and guest bedroom on occasion.  We're having guests from France come in October, they may think I'm a bit odd.  That is Pete Smith pitching to me a few camps back.  I'd like to say I took him downtown but ... I guess I can say it anyway.

Yeah, I've walked that area, it's incredibly rocky, the Rebs would never have gotten many cannon on top of LT.

Longstreet wanted to shift right on Day Three with everyone.  Lee didn't concur.

Whats amazing is that this battle was the reverse of past battles in that it was the South attacking a reinforced fixed position instead of the North

It seems as if Lee just forgot that
