It's pretty easy to spot problems.

Providing practical solutions often is a challenge.

I suppose whining and offering nothing is one approach.

Ask someone who is qualified to actually do it?
There's an island nation that is moving all of its citizens to somewhere in Asia because their land will be gone within the next century.  I'll delegate it to them.  How's that?

You guys get pretty pissy when a self-inflicted wound gets noticed and someone wants to bandage it.  Best to let it fester.
You've convinced me.

well, you moved to the desert

you should have noticed before the move, now you're part of the problem

Plenty of folks living in Zona that think there's a problem, but continue to live there
Garbage post of the year.

Ask someone who is qualified to actually do it?
the problem is that someone doesn't exist or has no voice or certainly hasn't been heard by the masses.
the problem is that there is no feasible plan.
whatever Biden may or may not do tomorrow won't be a solution.
It might be a small bandage to cover the festering sore, but it won't be a viable treatment for the illness.
most folks that are somewhat qualified think that very drastic measures need to be taken immediately to have even a remote chance of solving the issue.  Knowing that even the most drastic actions may not be enough.

Garbage post of the year.
I certainly don't deserve that much credit
maybe of the week, but it's only Tuesday

It's too hard.  Let's not try.

many people are trying

the majority of people are not

perhaps we need better messaging

perhaps we need a few more western states to burn, perhaps Europe needs to burn to signal the alarm

there are more windmills in Iowa per capita than any other US state and still not enough.  There's a large coal plant within 20 miles of my house generating electricity

Personally, I avoid whining about a problem if I cannot offer even the shred of an outline of a rough draft of some approach that would amelioerate it.

I'm saddened by the homeless problem.  I really do not have an effective solution beyond blindly throwing money at it, which I do fairly often.  But I'm not going to whine about it and claim someone ELSE should DO SOMETHING.  I wish they would obviously, and many are doing what they can.

Including me.

Yeah, complaining about a problem while offering not even a whiff of a solution to me is the definition of whining.

Is all this about some current problem caused by global warming or are we talking about avoiding a problem in the future

Probably some of both, more the latter of course.

I dont know of any current problem that would cause this fire drill so Im assuming its problems that are supposed to happen in the future

if thats the case its pretty hard to solve a problem that hasnt happened yet because there is no idea just what that problem is and there is no plan to fix the future problem that has not happened yet

as we have said over and over without cooperation from China and India we would just be pissing into the wind to crack down on emissions here in the US
