I support their right to boycott air travel 100%.
Ditto. Stay off the trains too. Much better for the rest of us.

  • Americans could do their taxes in minutes if the IRS had more funding, a Treasury official said.
  • The official cited how Estonians can file returns in five minutes; some Swedes can file via text message.
  • The Treasury is pleading with Congress for more IRS funding to help it modernize.

so if we fund more money to the IRS it will make my tax filing easier?

I doubt they would unless it was tightly controlled funding, and even then ....

I had a tussle with them last year, expect the same thing this year too.  I won.

I had some stock options which they had E Trade sell, I had no option.  So, I get the usual 1099 from my former company, AND E Trade sent in an IRS 1099 to the IRS, not me, duplicating the sale.  I sold the last batch last month.  E Trade massively screwed up my account when I was forced to open one so I could access said options.

Ya they are F******,I know you are an accountant or were but I'm telling you that's the truth.Remember the old Looney Tunes cartoon where Yosemite Sam twists off - well that was me. I was going to hire an attorney and even the accountant contacted them and they stuck to their guns - and if that chiseler was close enough to get a bead on I'd be on the lamb, dead or in the Big House

I just had an in home health check provided by my insurance company.  I was curious, and they are supposed to send me a $15 gift card.

It was pretty impressive really, the lady had everything in a backpack and measured a lot more than I expected.  I appear to be in good health.

I doubt it has that much to do with funding.

The questions about that are interesting. There are a small range of reasons it’s not easier, somewhere between great lobbying, possibly good politicking and a potential distrust of the government. Granted, that second argument was under fire the last time I brought it up.

I can’t tell if this is a joke or some kind of fancy text dodge.

The libs are going batshit over the Federal mask mandate being lifted

many of them calling for airline boycott

The current administration is going to appeal this decision, should the CDC find the mandate necessary.

If the IRS was truly concerned about Americans doing their taxes quicker, they would argue for simplifying the tax code. This is nothing more than a grab for money and power. Simplify the tax code and abolish the IRS and we would be much further ahead.
