Diet Pepsi is so bad, it has it's own taste.
The newer Coke Zero is the best 'normal' tasting diet soda attempt thus far.  Dr Pepper Zero is very good, too.
The worst diet soda is Diet Mt Dew....it tastes slimy.
.
I grew up drinking coke...like constantly.  I wish my parents hadn't done that.  Hell, I wish I didn't have 3 square meals a day.  My next-most drank drink was sweet tea....more sugar!  Thanks, fam!
.
In north FL, all plain soda was called coke.  Dr Pepper and clear sodas were called by their names.
.
Was TAB ever big enough to be the default soda?  It seems like it was a go-to in late 80s TV...more so than in actual daily life.  I'm not old enough to remember.

My post, as often is the case, was not a shot at you in particular, but an attack on generally-held beliefs that lack any real evidence.
I don't doubt that too much caffeine is bad for you or that consuming it late in the day can harm ease of sleep, but it's about the larger point.  If you posted 10 commonly-held dietary beliefs from whatever decade you're from, probably only 6 are really true or 4 or 1.  Not 10.

Our lab in school had a 5 kg jar of powdered caffeine.  If I worked late, I'd unscrew the cap and take a hit.  It worked, just sniffing the cap.

Well some people take a broader view of things instead of getting offended right off the bat and throwing a hissy fit.
I forgive you.

Rain check?
instead of spewing forth your wise ass comments in response to anothers post why not show some respect and just state why you do or dont agree

when you come out with your wiseass shit it makes folks a little agitated

you would be better served to avoid that tactic

so we dont think you are a jerk

now I feel much better and yes you can have a rain check to kiss my ass at anytime of your choosing

Minnesota football made a notable change to its future football schedule. The Golden Gophers announced the team's future matchup at the Cal Golden Bears will now be played in 2025. As a result, Minnesota's matchup at BYU scheduled for 2025 is canceled.

“As a result of this schedule change, Minnesota will no longer play at BYU on Sept. 20, 2025,” Minnesota said in its announcement. “The Gophers were scheduled to host BYU in 2020, but that game was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Minnesota and BYU do not have any future games scheduled.”

The Golden Gophers still have non-conference clashes with some major programs in the coming years. Minnesota will play Colorado, North Carolina, Cal, and Mississippi State between now and 2027.

same here
we never said soft drink
We never said soft drink either but we also didn’t generically call all soda “Coke.”  We generically called it “pop.”
As kids in these parts we called soft drinks "Pop".Then we'd be specific - Coke,Pepsi,7-UP,Dr Pepper,Hires Root Beer, etc
