Biden nominates new ATF chief, announces slate of gun reforms (msn.com)

Picked up 3 new guns last week. A nice shotgun, a new 9mm S&W pistol, and an AR kit that my son will build for me.

Pretty well-armed now in this house.

Going for concealed carry soon, with the wife.
About 8 years ago I purchased a Glock 17 for home protection

Ive never had to use it as such but you just never know

I'm about to buy a new handgun for my i s c & a aggie wife.  Probably a G43,  based on Burney's learned suggestions.

I have my grandfather's M1911 and several Colt revolvers that he left me.  But I've been thinking I might get something a little smaller as well, for concealed carry.

You used to need a conceal carry permit in Texas but that might have changed

1. Guinness is a light beer, with fewer calories than most other beers including Budweiser and Coors. – Source
2. German Beer was originally hallucinogenic, containing Henbane (an hallucinogenic herb), until adding Henbane to beer was banned in 1516. – Source
3. After the 18th Amendment (that established prohibition of alcoholic beverages) was repealed in 1933, Yuengling sent a truckload of “Winner Beer” to President Franklin D. Roosevelt in appreciation, which arrived the day the amendment was repealed. It is particularly notable since Yuengling beer takes almost three weeks to brew and age. – Source
4. Ex-Prime Minister of Australia Bob Hawke once held the world-speed record for beer drinking. In his memoirs, he suggested that this single feat may have contributed to his political success more than any other, by endearing him to a voting population with a strong beer culture. – Source
5. The “ice beer” is made by freezing beer and skimming off the ice crystals, thereby increasing the alcohol content – Source

AR-15 I presume?

I was thinking over the weekend that I will begin an AR-10 build, probably .308 caliber. One of the nice things about the AR platforms is that you really don't need that many tools to build one yourself. They are pretty easy to assemble.

Smith and Wesson builds a version of the M&P specifically for women known as the EZ. I don't know exactly what the required lbs to operate the slide is compared to the normal M&P, but it is significantly different and much easier to rack.

I'm not saying anything against the Glock as it is a nice gun, just that sometimes the amount of force required to rack some pistols is intimidating to some women.

It goes away in Ohio in June I believe. However, I will maintain mine due to the reciprocity issues with other states.

The EZ is a great weapon for ladies... the slide is super easy to charge.  I think there may be a 9mm now, bit when I had one it was a 380.

I carry a sig365 everyday everywhere.  It's a great compact 9mm with 12 round mag that is superior to a glock43.  They have a 365XL now that I'll be getting, which will for my hand better.. its slightly larger, and just where it's needed.  I think a 15rnd magazine os available for it.

I've owned several glocks, and they are good weapons for sure.  The 365 set the concealed world on its ear- but it had issues... the issues have been resolved and the weapon is a very well made tool, and one that will last generations.  I've a M&P shield as well as a M&P double stack 9, and I really like the double stacked M&P... it too had some issues in its first generation/iteration, but they've been solved as well.
