The midterms are generally bad for the party in control.  Republicans lost 41 seats in the House in 2018, and I expect about the same shift this time.

"We" elect someone and then find they didn't deliver on their promises, so we try someone else, and back again, usually a President is reelected and then the other party gets the spot.  I also think our economy is going to slide, perhaps into a technical recession, by end of year.  It might be a fairly mild recession, but enough to tip us into stagflation.  Inflation (and the economy) is the key issue right now.

I then expect Republicans to spend a lot of effort on hearings and "investigations" that lead pretty much nowhere.  That is the best hope for Democrats in 2024.
If the dems dont change their far left leaning attitudes they will never again control any of the branches of government

Sometimes, a President or party can just stumble into good times, or bad, through no merit or fault of their own.  A policy can take a few years to have any impact and by then whoever started it is long gone and the FNG is saddled with it, or benefits by it.

I'd guess we'll put Republicans in Congress and collectively find we don't like them much either and the race for 2024 will be competitive.  Maybe the Republicans sweep, and then in time "we" decide we like Democrats better.

I saw a meme that said "Bring back Fullbacks" just now, and was wondering why they are mostly phased out.  I know it is much more of a passing league now (CFB), but good FBs could catch passes, they were almost akin to a TE.  Does anybody use the FB much today other than maybe Army?

Howdy.

UW has two FB in the NFL right now, and will probably have a third very soon.

They will still control the 4th branch.

you are completely misreading the American people

For the dems to have a chance to come back they will have to stop doing things like trying to take away parents'
rights

They will have to secure our borders and get inflation under control

but thats ok I hope they dont change at all cause then they will be toast

I am basing my guesses on what has happened in the past.  I'm sure when Bush 1 took office, it looked dark for Democrats.

Since Truman, we had Ike for 8, then JFK/LBJ for 8, then Nixon/Ford for 8, then Carter for 4, breaking the pattern, then Reagan/Bush for 12, breaking the pattern, then Clinton for 8, then Bush for 8, then Obama for 8.  We oscillate back and forth, and at times either party may seem out of touch and about to die.

That's my read on the American people.

They call them "H" backs these days, usually just a TE lined up in the backfield for an extra blocker on a power run play

the southern boarder has never been secure

the promise of building a wall may have helped Trump get elected, but it didn't git done and didn't git him re-elected

now, rampant inflation will cause votes to swing

it's the economy stupid

the border was secure at the time of the election and 500 miles of the wall had been built and much more scheduled

we had reached an agreement with Mexico to help secure the border and Biden very quickly did away with that

its the dems allowing the economy to go south this wasnt just bad luck

but everyone is free to vote however they want so if you want more of the same as weve had the last year cast a dem vote thats your right

I think it was 458 miles of new wall got built under Trump, hopefully in the right places.  And folks were crossing illegally when Trump was President obviously.  I find getting solid information on what's happening to be very difficult.  I see figures on how many BP has captured, OK, but that isn't how many entered, and I'm not sure what happens to those detained.

In past years, some Mexicans would cross for seasonal work and then go home.  I don't know how prominent this is.

well now in the dead of night Biden's folks are flying them all over the country coming to a town near you

thats step one and step two will giving them the ability to vote

incidentally what Biden is doing is unconstitutional and he should be impeached over it

This is where you need to do your homework.  If you have not followed what’s going on at our southern border- and seen the data around how many illegals are getting in, how many are actually assisted by the Biden admin, how many are actually being shipped via government sponsored transportation to other states, and how many more are entering now than the previous admin- you need new sources.

now there will be those who come on and say that I must have a phobia of illegal immigrants, which of course is their only argument and it’s not an argument at all. But sending that to the side the numbers are not disputable and should be table stakes, in other words foundational, for this conversation.  There is no longer a debate about how open the borders are now versus the prior administration.
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.
