I like Facebook.  Makes it super-quick and easy to stay in touch with relatives, show them pictures of the kids, etc.-- without having to spend hours on the phone or writing letters.

It's easy to tune out the BS.  I'm actually amused by it.

Almost as amused as I am by people on internet message boards that think they're going to change someone else's mind by arguing incessantly with them.

At least here on a message board we use actual, ya know, arguments.

The Facebook level of debate rarely moves beyond memes. 

Which is why I deleted my account a few years ago. I didn't want to argue with anyone, because it'd be useless. I just wanted to punch them.

After some family drama, my wife asked me on Sunday "Do you feel bad about the fact that you don't have a good relationship with your family?"

Me: "Nope."

The only reason I use facebook is to keep tabs on family happenings

I dont join in discussions but kind of observe from afar

I could stay in touch and keep tabs on family happenings...

...but I don't care.
