Maybe it is flimsy, but there is at least enough to look into in my view.  Until it's investigated, it would remain flimsy.

The suppression of laptop news isn't flimsy at all.

Whatever Trump did or didn't do is irrelevant to this story.

politicians and their families being on the take or full of corruption is hardly a story these days

it's crazy it's so accepted

both sides are horribly corrupt

neither side cares what the public thinks about it

neither side will prosecute the "other" side for fear they might have to go to jail

That is true, though it is contextual. If someone is gonna tell me the kid is a raging junkie (sure), then by nature, I'm gonna be skeptical that he's running this great grift, giving pops a taste and everything.

Junkies lie, kinda a lot. Now maybe he's less a junkie than promised. That's something I can't say. (To be clear, I'm not saying the world is one way or another. Just trying to practice skepticism on a lot of fronts)

Let's presume Hunter never got into drugs at all, not a thing, the rest of this appears to be a real story, absent any drug use.

As for Trump and his ilk, I hope they get whatever justice should be applied to whatever they have done also.  But it's a separate topic, a whataboutism, a distraction, like claiming the Biden story is about drugs.  

I don't care what a son did about drugs, it's his affair, other than being sad for a life apparently wasted.  The ten percent for the Big Guy is a point of real concern.
