How do we know they were fired at the consulate?

Iran says it fired missiles near US consulate in Iraq | TheHill

Iran on Sunday claimed responsibility for several missile strikes near the U.S. consulate complex in the northern Iraqi city of Irbil, saying that the attack was retaliation for an Israeli strike in Syria that killed two members of the Iran Revolutionary Guard.

The attack resulted in no injuries, according to the Associated Press.
The country's Revolutionary Guard said in a statement the attack was launched against an Israeli “strategic center of conspiracy” in Irbil, the AP noted. While the statement did not elaborate on the claim, it said Israel had been on the offensive and cited an Israeli missile strike near Damascus, Syria that killed two members of the Iran Revolutionary Guard.

Why not just deliver a strike on Tel Aviv?

Israel would wipe out Tehran in 15 minutes, that's why.

I doubt they have much that can reach Tel Aviv.  A long range missile with conventional war head is not very useful unless extremely accurate.

This is also why Israel has not targeted Iran from the air in the past.

Of course it wouldn't. 4 years ago prices weren't bad. Got gas yesterday. Over $5/gallon now. I should have taken a picture, but there was a sticker on the pump:

I refuse to believe you're this stupid.

Right or not, Democrats are going to take a hammering over gas prices, and inflation, which I think is going to get worse and soon.

My son's 36th birthday today.  He is standing, uncovered, back row.  I had asked him for a photo of him uncovered somewhere.  With the helmet on at times you can't tell who is who.  He was awarded the CAR, he told me, on his 19th birthday, I had to look up what it was, it made me scared and proud, more scared than anything.

The young Marine kneeling far right came home, and is apparently doing "OK".  The concrete background is part of Haditha Dam.

They want credit when it's good and get blamed when it's bad, but aren't actually influencing it in any way.

If the president affected gas prices, each one would outdo the previous one and gas would be free.

A President can obviously take steps to INFLUENCE gas prices, without question, but he can't dial up any number he wants.

OPEC also can influence oil prices obviously, and they attempt to do so.  People look for simple solutions, anything complicated wont' fly in politics.
