But we have 2 incidents 45 years apart, full of human error and 1 involving an earthquake/tsunami and BOOO nuclear power!  It's terrible!!!!

People are dumb.

well, natural disasters happen. You can't just build them all over the place and hope that there aren't any earthquakes or tsunamis.

Don’t have to apologize brother and I’m sure most of the country feels the same way.

Really uneasy times right now. This war ending asap would be great.

There's about 250 other places it's worse for....

I think broadly speaking, "we" fault whoever is President for too much, and credit them for the same reason.  A lot of stuff just happens, when some President is in office, good or bad, that he or she may have had little to nothing to do with, no control.  It would have happened no matter who was in office.

Car and gas prices going way up. I guess it's good we killed all those public transit options.

Who is "we" and what public transit options are you talking about, in what locations?

In Austin the very left-leaning City Council continues to add public transit options without public referendum.  New light rail service and increased bus service annually.

Nobody's riding them.

Exactly. City Council bypasses the public, hands contracts to cronies, and still nobody rides.

Yeah, I'm not sure what public transit options were killed, I'm sure some were.  We have a special added tax here for more public transit which I haven't seen yet beyond "plans".  But I'm paying an 8.9% sales tax on everything, some of which is for transit.  Gwinnett county voted MARTA down, again.  It really didn't help them much.

The are changing the name of MARTA though, maybe that will help.

I think you can look to every single state in the union and find public transit options that were killed for a variety of reasons. Fairly easy to find. So we become extremely dependent on cars, then complain that no one rides the public transit we do have (which usually sucks)
