I view these folks as entertainers meant to garner ratings, with rarely anything to say worth hearing.  I put Carlson and Hannity and Maddow et al. in the same lump.

Entertainers.  Out for ratings.  It's akin to when I used to listen to "Game Day" and give any thought to their predictions, ha.

I happen to think Glenn Greenwald is a principled investigative reporter who has broken more important, worthwhile, groundbreaking stories on his own over the last say 15 years or so than basically the entire mainstream/corporate news press combined.
