they've had a pretty excellent run lately. Todd Gurley was top 3 RB in the NFL til knee injuries ended his career. Nick Chubb is a total stud. Sony Michel is decent. D'Andre Swift would probably be a lot better if he wasn't on the f**king Detroit Lions.
I'll take JT23, MGIII and Sweet Feet over those guys. There are two more guys on rosters as well.

Then there are the fullbacks.

Wisconsin definitely up there with JT breaking out as one of the elite backs in the game. Georgia and Bama are up there too though with their guys. Chubb is a total stud and Derrick Henry is well- a freak of nature.

Zeke Elliot been in obvious decline the last couple years and OSU doesn't really have anyone else.

Saquon Barkley had me thinking he was the next Barry Sanders after his first two seasons, but he missed his entire 3rd season with a nasty injury and just wasn't the same guy this past year in his 4th season. But- like Barry- he's also been stuck on a bad team with a bad QB and bad OL. Rumors are Giants might be moving him. After that Miles Sanders is pretty decent.

These guys don't last very long, do they?  Knowshon Moreno was pretty good, for a brief time.  Chubb had an extensive knee injury as a sophomore from which he recovered obviously.

not really man. Could just be me, but it seems to me they are falling off from their peak at quicker/sooner rates than the past. Defenders are bigger, faster, stronger by the year- hits add up. Derrick Henry seems to be lasting though. Which is surprising to me given just how freakishly big he is. Usually, the bigger they are- harder they fall.

Emmitt's carries record might last longer than his rushing yards record.

Adrian Peterson is basically 37 years old and pretty much done......and he's 1,200 carries behind Emmitt.  That's like 4 full years as a workhorse starting RB.

4,409 carries.

Our favorite local French restaurant is closing, they sold to someone, probably good for them.  I spent a lot of money there so maybe this is a good thing.

Meh.

My favorite local French restaurant closed during COVID but reopened under new ownership/management and is now better than ever.  More expensive though, like everything else.

My favorite brasserie, on the other hand, really tanked.  They had a great steak frites platter, and their burgers were fantastic.  Now it's all limp and greasy.  They still have an excellent selection of wine and mostly-Belgian beer, though.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY:

"To those people in the huts and villages of half the globe struggling to break the bonds of mass misery, we pledge our best efforts to help them help themselves, for whatever period is required — not because the communists may be doing it, not because we seek their votes, but because it is right. If a free society cannot help the many who are poor, it cannot save the few who are rich." - John F. Kennedy
