My daughter worked a while back for CBRE in NYC, a pretty good well paying gig for her.  She quit after about a year, she said it was unbelievably boring.  While she was there, Hillary gave a speech to the assembled masses.  I was quite interested in what she talked about, but my daughter said she didn't pay any attention, and she didn't think anybody else did either.  It's a great gig, you get wined and dined and paid handsomely for giving the same speech you give at other places with some name changes.

I personally think of very few people in history really worth hundreds of thousand for some speech, Einstein comes to mind because I'm rereading a book about him.

$104 million….lmao.

You’re right, no one is worth those kind of fees. Some of it- prestige bs. A lot of it- after the fact bribes. Scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours later. It’s an unspoken thing.

And as those leaked Wikileaks emails of Hilary’s showed- where she admitted in a private speech - that she has/needs both “public and private positions” on issues. Basically - people like me lie and say anything to get elected or help our cause - we don’t mean what we say publicly- it’s just for show- we really think something else- privately. And sadly, that’s probably true of all of them.

BHO are both from Chicago...

Speaking of that guy….

I will never understand how a constitutional law professor who won a Nobel peace prize could also have a secret kill list (which included American citizens), sign the 2012 NDAA which in effect suspended habeas corpus (even for US citizens), take the US from 2 wars to 7, expand NSA/CIA spying powers (illegally) to levels and capabilities that Bush II could only wet dream of, ramp up drone strikes to levels 10x what Bush II had done, dropped so many bombs in Syria the US Air Force literally ran out of bombs, and averaged a bomb being dropped every 20 minutes of his presidency. The two don’t mesh, at all.

He was such a smooth talking, intelligent, good looking, relatively young, hip, cool guy- he put a pretty face on some ugly shit. CIA even wrote a classified paper that was leaked by Wikileaks back in 2009 about how Obama would be a great asset to their efforts to continue/sell these wars and bombings to a weary US public and to NATO allies who were growing tired and losing support for them from inside their home populations.

I missed where the USAF LITERALLY ran out of bombs.

Maybe that was a top secret.

The bombing campaign has left the U.S. Air Force with what an Air Force official described as munitions depot stocks “below our desired objective.”

I don't interpret that as meaning they LITERALLY RAN OUT OF BOMBS.

You must not pay much attention to current events. It’s all very public information.

Btw you should also really try to read Wikileaks sometime, can really take a peek behind the curtain and learn something about how government/power truly works/operates.

In Obama’s last year in office alone he dropped over 26,000 bombs. USAF LITERALLY were running out of bombs, they were expending bombs faster than they could replace them. This problem has only exacerbated under Trump- who was dropping more bombs and at even faster/higher rates than his predecessor.

Trump’s first year in office alone he dropped more bombs by Labor Day than Obama dropped in all of 2016.

And that’s one of the major problems of constantly expanding executive power. You never know what lunatic will inherit those powers or how he might use them.

More hyperbole from the "expert".

"dropped so many bombs in Syria the US Air Force literally ran out of bombs"

Versus stocks fell below desired levels.

And yes, I imagine they were running a bit short, but they hardly were LITERALLY out.

The political calculus encourages this stuff. Bombs are politically useful because you can put on the air of being "strong" without committing American lives, just all their money. Biden drastically curtailed drone strike usage - few care. We have useless sanctions on the Taliban so we can appear to be "strong." There is no other reason.

Congress is mostly asleep. The Ohio Republican Senate primary race is in full swing. The biggest issue is who likes Trump the most.

Yeah, except it’s not hyperbole.

The USAF itself said….we’re running out.  We’re dropping them faster than we can replace them, if we continue on this pace we won’t have any left to drop….you know…..literally running out of something.

Wouldn’t say the sanctions on Taliban are useless- Biden administration did just take $7 billion of Afghan central bank reserves and give it away to 9/11 victims and humanitarian causes- which speaking of humanitarian causes- taking that money will likely just exacerbate a food shortage/starvation crisis currently going on in Afghanistan.

Congress has checked out. They are totally fine with the executive branch doing whatever the hell it wants when it comes to spying and war. They don’t even pretend to care anymore.

There is a difference between "literally ran out", which you posted, and "literally running out", which you now claim is what you mean.

And you applied it to the entire Air Force.  It's a matter of being accurate and meaning what you post, LITERALLY.
