I probably could beat most of the public on a track, especially in a car with a manual.

I'd be surprised if >50% of the public can even drive a manual. You'd leave most of them stuck on the starting line :57:

Forgot now who asked, but the name of the vehicle is Hummer. Not the brand. Or so I was told. It’s a GMC hummer. They’re not resurrecting hummer.

It’s basically going to be a low production test vehicle for GM to get into the EV truck game.

I bought a Volvo in 1997, a used 1995. 27K miles on it.

Ended up getting rid of it in 2015, with 425K miles on it.
That’s the thing about them. Maybe you don’t like them, but they stubbornly refuse to die.

I thought I read under 20% of driving public can drive a stick.    It's been awhile but I can.   Sure is a great anti-theft measure.

I once was buying a car and told the salesman I wanted one with a manual.  He responded, "They all have one in the glove compartment."

Seriously.

I got a different sales guy.  That was my Sonic, which I got with a manual.  My daughter put quite a few miles on it after I donated it to her.

When my eldest (now 14 1/2) learns to drive, he will learn to drive a stick on the Jeep.

Speaking of that... I need to teach my wife how to drive a stick on that same Jeep; she doesn't know how yet lol...

Bought a new laptop as my old Chromebook was running pretty slow. I decided to go with a Windows machine, and I immediately regretted that trying to navigate the weirdly confusing Windows. I was even going to be ok with using Edge instead of Chrome, until nothing worked, and the instructions made no sense. I can only imagine the amount of time and money and employees contributing to trying to get people to use Edge. Maybe they need more English majors on the team.

We use Chrome on our Windows boxes.  Is there some reason you can't?

You can, but they beat you over the head about it. "Did You Know Edge Uses The Same Technology as Chrome?" "You need to switch out of S mode to use Chrome. Be careful, you can never use S mode again!"

It's essentially the same setup as when you try to cancel cable and they have 10 hoops to jump through.
