there has to be more to this story- otherwise this guy will have a huge lawsuit on his hands and win a ton of money in court.
I don't think he would have any shot at that.

twitter, google, and facebook all receive immunity from any legal liability from whatever a 3rd party user posts on their platform via section 230 of the United States Communications Decency Act - which means they have no real justification for their little censorship sprees.

I sometimes wonder if these companies should be reclassified as public utilities like telephone service or electricity. They have become a part of the public square and everyday life for millions of Americans. I think this would make it more difficult for them to arbitrarily censor- with no rhyme or reason- which is what they are doing right now. Telephone company can't ban you from using the telephone just because they don't like what you're saying. Should apply to these platforms as well, I think.

if they really removed him just for wearing a mask that said Let's Go Brandon, he should sue and I'd think a jury would side with him over the airline. Unless the jury was entirely made up of Joe Biden lovers. But with approval ratings of 28% - who the hell loves the guy?

dude suspended parliament and instituted martial law, has violated every kind of basic right and put an entire country on military lockdown and is arresting peaceful protestors at gunpoint, freezing their bank accounts, and canceling their vehicle insurance simply to squash a peaceful protest. he should be in f**king prison.
Hyperbole much?

Oh, yeah.

Canada trucker protest: What powers will Emergencies Act give Trudeau? - BBC News

martial law, temporary rule by military authorities of a designated area in time of emergency when the civil authorities are deemed unable to function. The legal effects of a declaration of martial law differ in various jurisdictions, but they generally involve a suspension of normal civil rights and the extension to the civilian population of summary military justice or of military law. Although temporary in theory, a state of martial law may in fact continue indefinitely.

Fact-check: Did Canada impose martial law because of vaccine protests? (statesman.com)

No, they didn't.

He can't sue, the flight crew is accorded almost unlimited authority on a plane.  Failure to follow their instructions will get you thrown off, no matter what.

The Captain of AF One can order the President around.  He's the closest thing to a god we have in the US.

yeah, that is simply not true. might want to google that buddy. there have been many cases of passengers suing the airlines for getting thrown off the plane - and most of the times the airlines just settle.

I should have said he has no grounds for a law suit, anyone can try and sue.

No, they didn't.
Canada is essentially in a state of martial law. They are LITERALLY in a state of nation wide emergency. It is the FIRST TIME this emergency law has ever been enacted in the history of the country. To squash a peaceful protest. INSANE.

Citizens rights are being completely suspended. There is no due process. Trudeau is effectively a dictator when he can arrest people at gun point for peacefully protesting, classify protestors he does not like as terrorists, freeze bank accounts & cancel vehicle insurance without citizens having any legal recourse, seize property by force, and ban journalists from covering the protests with threat of arrest if they are in the protest areas.

Wake the f**k up man for christ sake.

US now claiming they have intel that Russian commanders have orders to proceed with an invasion of Ukraine, and are also claiming that Putin has a list filled with Ukrainians to be killed and others to be sent to internment camps following a military occupation.

Claims by this administration get wilder by the minute. Any day now, any day now....for three f**king months. LOL.

I suppose some folks like to be dramatic and exaggerate everything for impact, or something.  I prefer to be as precise as possible, and leave the hysteria to others.

where is the hysteria in any of this? you really aren't paying attention, are you? there is no exaggeration, all that stuff is happening. right now. btw do you know what the mayor of Ottawa is attempting to do? He says he's going to use The Emergency Powers Act to try and sell all the confiscated trucks and equipment.

these people have been arrested, had their bank accounts frozen, vehicle insurance canceled, trucks and equipment confiscated and sold - their lives essentially destroyed- all for the crime of peacefully protesting. completely insane.

they suspended parliament when COVID- a brand new virus no one knew anything about first hit and no one really knew what it was- you know- an actual national emergency/crisis.

dude suspended parliament and instituted martial law, has violated every kind of basic right and put an entire country on military lockdown and is arresting peaceful protestors at gunpoint, freezing their bank accounts, and canceling their vehicle insurance simply to squash a peaceful protest. he should be in f**king prison.
Just about everything in this post is hyperbole or completely false.

He violated every kind of basic right?  OK then.  He lined'em up and shot them.  It's of course not martial law.  Civilian courts are still operating.  Military lockdown?  Entire country?  A country has a right to manage "protests" which are obstructing traffic and commerce.

You tell folks to leave, and when they don't, they get arrested.  You have no right to block a major artery in the US or Canada.
