I really did not know SNL was still on TV.  Next you'll tell me Lawrence Welk is still on.

Hee Haw?

Laugh In?
yeah, I believe they are on season 47 or 48 now. they should probably just kill it and call it quits after this season.

It is insane how good the Costco stuff is including their meats, fish, the bakery and even some of their pre-cooked meals!

I don’t know if it’s the worst thing that ever happened to me or the best, but when I moved from Michigan to Florida I went from having a Costco 3 miles away or I probably spent $400 every two weeks to having the nearest one be 35 minutes south of me in Palm Beach. I rarely go there now. Only when I need large quantities of steaks or fish for company or a great pumpkin pie for the holidays.
The one on PGA?

We have the same deal. A few miles away before and now 40 minutes to Costco or 15 to Sam's. After one year of Sam's, I'm ready to drive a bit more. And, they way this area is growing, we'll have one down the street very soon.

Yep- that’s the closest one.   Supposedly they are building one in Palm City- within 10 minutes- but the locals are fighting it.

I have quite a few friends who live just South from there, in Palm Beach Gardens. Nice area, but man.. the traffic sucks. Even off-season. Speaking of season... I wish they would go back already.

Me too!  Rrrggghh.
I called to make a reservation at our favorite Italian place yesterday.

Our reservation is on March 4 at 4:15 PM. That is the soonest they had on a Friday or Saturday. If I wanted to wait for an opening after 6PM, we're getting to April.

GTFOOH already.

It is like that over here too. There’s a great little restaurant less than a mile from my house, right where I keep my boat docked. Since I moved here in 2016 you could walk in there at any time and get a seat. Great seafood and great hors d’oeuvres and right on the water.

now if you go there at lunch any day or Friday evening or Saturday day evening it’s up to an hour to a two hour wait.

I live within a few miles of the Stuart Airport. It’s a nice little airport and I have actually flown out of it several times on a private plane for in-state business trips. When I moved here you would see planes taking off and landing every 20 to 30 minutes and they were small planes.

now it is every 2 to 3 minutes including deep into the evening we’re planes are landing and they are no longer prop planes but rather sizable private jets for 20 or 30 passengers. It is insane

agree 10000%. Peyton Manning is a natural. Dude could've been an actor if he wasn't one of the GOAT NFL QBs lol.

Have you ever crossed over using the Lake O Waterway system? I've been thinking about doing that.

anything north of palm beach county and the assholes fight everything. one of the counties, forget if it was St. Lucie or Indian River- tried suing Brightline/Virgin Trains USA for years in federal court to try to block the high speed rail extension from west palm to orlando. they failed in court time after time and kept losing all their appeals too. now the f**king idiot assholes are trying to get a station built. hopefully brightline/virgin tell them to f**k off, and I think they have. there's really no reason to build a station there- it won't be cost effective - not enough people that would actually use it.

We have here popular restaurants and ones that are struggling, and to me the differences in food quality and price are, well, none, and maybe even reversed.  A few of the former require a credit card to make a reservation, which will be weeks out often as not.  We still haven't been to Gunshow, just too many other options.

A lot of this is the celebrity of a few chefs, and a lot of it is whether they make a local magazine's list, and of course then there is the egg lobby.

Yes!  Great trip!  You have to go through a series of locks, which is easy, and kind of cool.

so my brother who lives in Cape Coral took the canals to the resort on Lake Okeechobee. Took him about four hours. I drove there and met him for lunch. We then got into his boat and took the canals eastward towards my marina and left my car in Okeechobee. Spent the night at my house and in the morning took the approximately 3 1/2 hour boat ride back to Okeechobee. Had lunch and got in my car and drove home and he got in his boat with his wife and went back to his house.

very scenic and peaceful trip. Not much in the way of other boats. Lots of wildlife including gators and birds of every kind.

Pack a cooler full of beverages and snacks and do it. It’s fantastic
