Ha, thanks!

Yeah huevos rancheros are prevalent down here as well, one of my faves.

Chilaquiles and migas are other common breakfast foods inspired from south of the border.
Yeah, I can't believe I was in my 30s before I learned that breakfast nachos were a real thing.

Had it!  The Bomb.
it's one of the best pizza places in the US imo. Or at least it used to be. Last couple times I went, it just wasn't as good, and I have heard from a lot of people that it is now very inconsistent, and that the owner isn't in there running the ship like he used to be. Apparently he went from always there to never there now. And it used to be a tiny little straight pizza operation- but the owner leased the building next door and knocked down the dividing wall and now it's a large full-service restaurant with a bar. Big mistake imo. If you're truly great at one thing- stick to doing that one thing. I think the expansion of the space and menu, the owner not being around as much to run the ship, and then them opening another location in Detroit has lead to a steady decline. Sad to see it happen, because it used to be my favorite pizza place. The dough they have there is like a hybrid between NY style and Neapolitan. Probably the best dough of any pizza I've ever had anywhere. Also: makes no sense to me that they open another location in Detroit. If you're going to expand, go to Ann Arbor or to one of the suburbs of Detroit. Seems like a waste of another location to me.

My favorite pizza place is probably a place in Brooklyn called Lucali's. They've been around for like 15 years, and it's still a tiny little place - they haven't expanded the size of the restaurant- and the menu is still pretty much the same and pretty small. Basically just pizza, calzones, salads, and meatballs. The guys cousin opened another location in Miami Beach - and I've been to both a lot, but the one in Miami is not nearly as good as the original in Brooklyn. If any of you are ever in NYC - that's the pizza place to go to imo if you can make it out to Brooklyn. I know most people that visit NYC probably just stay in Manhattan.

Ha! The Office is the best sitcom that's ever been on basic free network tv (ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox). Miss that show like crazy on Netflix. Comcast are f'ing aholes for pulling it from Netflix just so they can put it on their shitty streaming service Peacock. I refuse to pay for that garbage. Already have enough streaming crap...YouTubeTV, AppleTV+, HBOMax, Hulu, & Netflix. Don't need another one.

As for Sbarro's - man that place is expensive and it's junk. I don't get how they stay in business. I know people love pizza. But I never see anyone at any Sbarro at any airport or mall food court. And the food is gross AND expensive. Doesn't make sense. A slice of pizza there has to be like $5-6.

As for that place Lucali - they don't do the slice thing. It's a "high end" pizza place - the guy uses only San Marzano tomato cans to make his sauce, the best imported extra virgin olive oil, freshest organic produce, his mozzarella cheese is top notch, and he also imports only the highest quality parmigiano-reggiano cheese and he puts that on every pizza as well. All that ish is expensive af - which is why the prices are - but all that stuff definitely makes a big difference. You can order to go pretty easily, but the lines and wait times to get in the place can be a sonofabitch.

I don't get the whole "slice" thing with NY. I feel like most of the slice places are gross. Everyone always on and on about Joe's Pizza and all the famous people go there and there's pics of them all on the wall- and every time I've been to any Joe's Pizza the pizza has been mediocre or has even sucked if you ask me.

Little Rey

This place is near us and always packed, it's amazing.  It's certainly solid, in my experience, but not uber exceptional.

You need to get out of the habit of prattling tripe - that'd be Two and a Half Men

They do have breakfast tacos with no eggs at least.

I might suggest a smaller dish

There are all kinds of legitimate breakfast tacos that don't have eggs.

But those don't seem to be among them, since they mention "migas" as one of the base ingredients, and then an array of options you can add to them.

I thought "a miga" was a lady friend.
