The US has not won a war since 1945, and we don't even win that one without Stalin's Eastern front to spread the Nazis out.

Nor have they even tried.

WW2 would not have even started without Russia's alliance with Germany enabling the Germans to invade without fear

That general needed to be taken out.

I don't care who ordered it. Could've been any of the last 4 presidents, or Mickey Mouse, and I'd still support that move.

Anyone concerned about a potential World War?

If Russia takes Ukraine, and China follows with Taiwan, then what?

Red line in the sand? War? What?
Yes. Very concerned. Biden is a completely useless f**king moron who employs other morons in the unelected bureaucracy like Tony Blinken who continually go on tv and spout nonsense publicly that inch us closer and closer to war with Russia- a country that holds about half of the worlds nuclear weapons. And a country that knows war and knows what it's like to have war touch their borders and lose millions of citizens and soldiers. They are a MUCH harder, tougher people than us. The United States and it's people have no idea what that is like. War has never truly touched US borders.

People do not understand this conflict at all. NATO is the problem. It is a relic from a bygone time that has come and gone and it needs to be disbanded. It is making the world more dangerous, not safer. The entire purpose of NATO was to protect Western Europe from the USSR. The USSR no longer exists. And hasn't for 30+ freaking years. Let the god damn Europeans pay for their own defense. This country bleeds enough money as it is. Let those smug EU bastards stand up and defend themselves.

De-classified documents show and prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that President Bush I and high ranking officials like secretary of state James Baker gave assurances to the leader of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev that NATO would not expand "not one inch eastward" during talks to put together a treaty which would allow for the reunification of Germany and for the USSR to completely pull out of East Germany. Yeah, that obviously didn't happen. The US went back on their word, as usual.

It's pretty simple and I really do not understand why people do not understand this issue. Russia ABSOLUTELY does not want NATO and US missile systems, fighter jets, and troops encroaching on their border. Ukraine joining NATO would set that into motion and Russia cannot allow that. It is completely unacceptable to them for Ukraine to join NATO and to have US war machine right on their ass. And it should be unacceptable to them. Can you imagine if Mexico & Cuba joined some Russian backed military alliance and they started stationing missiles, troops, fighter jets, tanks, etc., etc., in our back yard? LOL. Shit would HIT THE F***KING FAN in a NY minute.

I say the US should try to make a treaty with Russia, and they should gang up and go blow the shit out of China. China is the real threat.

Ukraine was a country of its own before Stalin took it. Lots of moving part there, throughout history. Putin appears to want to put the USSR band back together.
This just isn't true and I don't see the evidence for that. Russia is basically a mafia state and Putin is the top mob boss. He's had control of that country for nearly 25 years and there is no evidence that he's been trying to take over former soviet republics and reinstitute the USSR.

What he has done for the last 25 years is consolidate his own power & wealth, turn the state into his personal piggybank and murder and silence anyone who opposes his corruption. The guy is all about himself and what he can gain. It's been suggested that he may be the richest single man on earth and has stashed over $200 billion away in foreign bank accounts and shell companies, and he is said to have a secret $1 billion summer palace. He's not some ideologue who wishes to restore the USSR.

It's pretty simple. Russia sees Ukraine joining NATO and having US troops, missile systems, and fighter jets in Ukraine and right on it's border as a SERIOUS threat. As they should. Assurances were given to Gorbachev in '90 that NATO would NOT expand one inch east if the USSR would pull out of East Germany and allow for the reunification of Germany.  The US completely went back on their word and proceeded to expand NATO ever closer and closer to Russia's borders and if Ukraine joins NATO it'd be right on Russia's asshole- and Putin cannot allow that. As he shouldn't.

The US is NATO. We fund it by as much as 75%. We control it.

NATO is the problem. There is zero reason for NATO to want to have Ukraine join it. Ukraine is not a Western European or North American country. Yet they are pushing for that very thing. Why? Really does not make sense.

Yeah, that was Trump, who smartly realized that unfortunately we have to kiss their ass as they control by far the largest chunk of easy accessible oil reserves in the entire world, and oh yeah they also pretty much kept the US dollar the reserve currency of the entire world by only allowing payment of their oil in US dollars- which became the worldwide standard.

I don't like them at all, but the way the world is set-up- absolutely need them. And President Dipshit is such a f**kface he won't get the ruler of the Saudis, MbS on the phone and kiss his ass and go visit him and have him visit the US and beg him to ramp up oil production to help ease inflation. I believe that Biden still refuses to talk to him.

NATO without us is literally 17 of those little green plastic army men toys.

All we need is a sovereign country to attack us where we can unleash the fury.  Declare war on us.  Both sides know what would happen.

In the past 45 years, we've been Superman holding back, knowing that if we went full bore, it would yield all the death.  If an actual country came and tugged on our cape, it's lights out.

not exactly true. it's longer than 45 years ago, but a bunch of little Vietnamese men in a jungle armed with inferior weapons kicked the United States ass. And the US didn't hold anything back except for nuclear weapons. The US tried and failed to occupy Iraq and Afghanistan and impose puppet governments and they got their asses kicked by literal cavemen goat herders.

Moral of the story: you can't take a country that doesn't want you there in the first place, and that you have no legitimate reason to be there in the first place. US soldiers don't even know what they were fighting for in those wars. Vietnamese, Iraqis, and Afghanis were fighting for their homes and their freedom from a foreign aggressor. That's a dangerous f'ing thing to fight against- and you'll lose every single time. Don't matter how big your d*ck is.
