Ruler of Saudi Arabia is a trillionaire.

Kinda funny when they say Musk or Bezos is richest man in the world. MBS has wealth those guys could only dream of. This is a guy who spent $310 million on a house in France and another $353 million on a painting that may or may not have been a Da Vinci.

So long as this world runs on crude oil and they are the worlds low cost producer high volume provider of crude - whoever rules that country will be the richest mfer in the entire world.

One thing common in startups is compensation to employees in the form of options, which may be only actionable in 3-5 years.  I don't think those options are included in the accounting of shares outstanding.  I'd guess a fair number of employees just became millionaires, on paper.  And then some.

I was just reminded that Fisker is also in the pool doing something with EVs.

FYI they're no longer Fisker... They were acquired and now operate under the brand name Karma Automotive.

Their HQ is <4 miles from my house.

I didn't even realize this, but apparently they're PHEV, not pure BEV...

Fisker.【2021 and 2022 Fisker Car Models】Discover The Price Of All the New Fisker Vehicles In The USA | CarBuzz

Fisker Launches 2023 Ocean Electric Crossover, 25,000 Headed To U.S. Next Year (chron.com)

The current iteration of Fisker Inc. was born in 2016, several years after the collapse of Fisker Automotive and the plug-in hybrid Karma grand touring sedan, a project that lives on as the Chinese-owned Karma Automotive. Fisker Inc. made a splash with at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show with the Emotion electric sedan—an overly ambitious effort that may or may not materialize. In 2020, Fisker returned to CES with the Ocean.

Unlike the high-dollar Emotion, the five-passenger Ocean is targeted at the mass market with an attainable price point. As Henrik Fisker and every entrepreneur in the last 130 years that has ever tried to launch a car company knows, the design concept is the easy part. Turning it into a real product is something else entirely.

Interesting, thanks. I didn't know that Fisker had actually remained alive after divesting all the Karma stuff.

I guess he found some investors to give him a second chance lol...

sure, speaking of golf..... (glad you brought it up)

went out yesterday, high of around 68 degrees, windy.  Played a tough course and shot 40-39 to break 80.  one birdie, one double

a few Bud heavies, a couple shots of fireball and a nice cigar

forecast doesn't look good, pulled the battery on the golf cart
