because they own politicians?
The article lays it out pretty clearly, basically we tax income, and a billionaire doesn't need income.  I'm quite sure they chuckle over any current tax the rich notions.

The rich pay a huge portion of the taxes paid
We currently are a republic and while we are its against what this country was founded on to just reach out discriminately and take money away from those deemed wealthy just to fund what the government wants to do

Its much better to support the ability for folks to become rich rather then encourage folks to just live off the government

to take away ones incentive to achieve economic independence undermines the very foundation of this country

Lots of rich people own or manage companies that generate corporate income taxes.  Michael Dell probably pays very little in income tax.  Dell Technologies pays tens of billions every year.

What is wrong with the food?
They don't know how to cook here.

I'll start with one example - soggy fries.

Who likes soggy fries? Apparently the Portuguese.

I asked for crispy and I get soggy. I tried 5 times.

Near us, West Peachtree Street is a booming corridor.

I hear food in Portugal is not very good.

We had one substandard meal in Barcelona, but we had dinner at the hotel in the exec lounge each night because it was free.  And pretty decent.

I'd stop at 1 specially overseas,ya know they're out of sight? If they didn't grasp crispy the 1-2 X,then they don't understand you. After that they don't give a shit

My wife had never heard of French toast before she got here.  She also tells me "chateaubriand" is not a French cut of beef known in France.

French fries are indeed, actually, Belgian fries.  And the ones I've had in Brussels were fantastic.

Pomme frite.

In France, and Belgium, they are thin cut and taste like potatoes, generally.  Here they taste like salt and oil.
