yeah, so in the dumbest news I've heard all week-

Microsoft and Gucci are making a Gucci branded XBOX- which wait for it- they are limiting to 100 made and selling at Gucci stores for $10,000.

And watch them sell them in 5 minutes and then watch them resale on eBay for $100,000. For a $499 video game.

I gotta say, in the insane world in which we live... a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing...

...that's also the dumbest news I've heard all week. Are we sure this isn't April Fools in November or something?

Anyone who would pay that doesn't deserve to have $10K. Or, more accurately, doesn't deserve to have a $10K credit limit.

I honestly think a great investment would be to take 10 mundane household items chosen at random and do the same thing with them.
This is what happens when the number of billionaires doubles in 12 years.  They can literally buy anything, so they do.

Sell a broom by Dr. Dre for $17,000.
Market a hammer made out of Tyrannosaurs teeth for $189,000.
Produce a bed slipper made of the down of an emperor penguin's newborn for $322,000.

Some dipshit with 9 yachts will buy them.

LMAO. Fact.

Just have to make sure the T-Rex hammer and penguin newborn slipper is designed by Louis Vuitton or something- and some rich dichead will buy it.

I will tell you the Eames lounge chair and ottoman is worth every penny and it looks beautiful..   A LV bag or Xbox, no thanks.

Well duh.  Cattle aren't indigenous to North America, all of our stock was brought over from Europe.

Doesn't change the fact that in the intervening 500 years, the beef here has become superior to the beef over there.

well, obviously this beef was fed Nebraska corn
not some sage brush from Texas

The funniest part is the rich kid is still going to hurl that controller into the wall when he loses the game, no matter how much it cost.

Many "billionaires" are rather frugal, old habits and all that.  That is one reason they are billionaires.  The folks who splurge often are the newly high income folks who wnat to look rich.

Sam Walton drove an old truck, Warren Buffett lives in the same house he did in 1965.  I see Elon has been selling a chunk of Tesla stock of late.  I presume he's going to donate the proceeds to avoid taxes or he would get clipped a bit.  They usually have a charitable donor fund which is a nice thing to have.
