too late for that- we already had one of those- a second McCarthyist Russia Scare! It involved the BAD ORANGE MAN, Russia, and an evidence free based conspiracy theory.

And that theory was put out to pasture by Mueller's investigation and report and that pathetic bullshit dossier that was the basis for the start of the investigation has been called into serious question with the arrests and indictments of Igor Danchenko and Clinton lawyer Michael Sussmann back to back in the last 3-4 weeks. Mueller put that conspiracy theory to bed- and these indictments literally just obliterated it into a billion pieces.

Brother we had 11 investigations about Benghazi and an FBI investigation about what server Hillary kept her emails. That might gave been the stupidest thing I had ever seen.

Yeah, I think my long game is starting to come into form, because I've practiced it more. Not enough, but more.

My short game sucks, because the bulk of "practice" I do on short game is playing on the course.

I've started tracking "wasted shots" on my rounds, i.e. things that I do that are so awful that they basically are just a completely additional stroke. I.e. if I miss a green from 150 yards and I'm 20 yards off, that's not a wasted shot, because I can't exactly expect to hit every green from 150 at my skill level. But if I then go to pitch from 20 yards off and I chunk it 15 feet, that's a wasted shot because I should at least be able to get on the green from 20 yards. Now I am left pitching again from [essentially] the same place.

I've found that my wasted shots are well over 50% in my short game.

So I need to start practicing that. I could be shooting mid-80s if I clean that up.
That’s how I got from 20 down to a 10 or even nine for a short period.  Short game practice. I found it built the fundamentals to help the long game swings as well.

It took me seventeen years to get three thousand hits in baseball.
I did it in one afternoon on the golf course.

You don't think it's incredibly odd that the FBI raided an online right-wing journalist organization over a diary they never published?

Since when is the FBI involved in trying to locate worthless lost or stolen property?

This SMACKS of a President using the FBI to go after political enemies.

There’s a typo in there, but if the FBI was being used like the KGB, that guy running it woulda “fallen out a window.”

I’ve not investigated what happened. I assume it’s some blend of not super appropriate, but less dramatic than it’s being portrayed, and maybe even mundane in a depressing way.

Was that on 51? Or just the old board?

This entire board was a politics-free zone, ASIDE from the weird Area 51 down at the bottom that I avoid like the plague.

Then people kept on doing it, so we tried to limit it to a few threads-- this one included.

The only long-standing thread that has ever been actively moderated to remove politics, was the Coronavirus one, but I gave up on that a few days ago.

Now this place is about to become a free-for-all, the aftermath of a failed demilitarized zone, with nothing but craters and dead bodies everywhere.

Be careful what you wish for...

Before COVID, politics on this site were restricted only to the wacko Area51 section.

We had some far-reaching discussions on policy, but with the ground rule that it wasn't to be about a specific politician or party. Usually mentioning anyone by name would result in being chastised. It was a very tenuous line, but when crossed it was usually shut down immediately.

I know what I wish for. But I don’t think most others would agree.

Both insane, but I’ve never seen anything like Russiagate. Oh wait- yes I have- the war in Iraq/WMDs. Lol.

Just amazing to me that people did not learn their lesson in not trusting anything coming from establishment media citing unnamed or “intelligence” sources after that travesty in which an illegal invasion was kicked off based on lies and phony evidence and probably over 1 million people lost their lives and millions more were displaced.

Establishment media might be worse than it’s ever been with all the ex FBI/CIA creeps on the news room payrolls. John Brennan and James Clapper should be in freaking jail. Not getting high paying jobs working at MSNBC and CNN. I still don’t know wtf the bosses at those networks are even fn thinking.

Hyperbole, sure. But in our society a president just can’t kill a citizen because he feels like it. Oh wait, yes he can- Obama & Trump both drone striked US citizens to death.

I admittedly haven’t looked into it super hard yet- but it just strikes me as all kinds of illegal and inappropriate and abuse of the office and of the law.
