why 100 employees?  why not 50 or 500 or 1000?
Because anyone with 100+ employees makes too much money to bitch and moan....no matter how entitled their wealth makes them feel.

an official noted is not technically a vaccine mandate, as businesses can also choose to make regular testing and mask-wearing an option.

The mandate, which applies to businesses with at least 100 employees and is expected to cover 84 million people, was developed by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

Senior administration officials said OSHA’s emergency temporary standard (ETS) to enact the mandate is “well within OSHA’s authority under the law and consistent with OSHA's requirements to protect workers from health and safety hazards, including infectious diseases.”

But there was this one guy who asked me if I could change the TV to the world series game.  I just looked at him, shook my head, and told him to get the hell off my lawn.

If A&M doesn’t win out and ends up 9-3 with a win against Bama, that would be a very interesting spot

Various government rules apply to companies with X employees, the X varies all over the map.  I think there is an intent not to bother start ups and mom and pops.

And of course there likely are many more companies with < 90 employees than there are over 100.

I don't see how OSHA can possibly "police" this, or even check on it, without someone dropping a dime.

A lot of 200 employee companies will send an HR person around to ask status and check boxes and done.

Ags caught Alabama sleeping.  They could certainly lose any 1 of Auburn, LSU, and Ole Miss. Before the season I predicted that the parity in the SEC West would end up with each of those teams trading 2-3 losses amongst them.  At the time I thought Alabama was above the fray, but apparently not.

I'm not sure OSHA can check on all the "reports" that come in regarding mandate stuff

with 100 employees, gotta be a disgruntled couple three that want to cause trouble for "the man" or just a anti-vax co-worker that isn't well liked.

We had a temp worker call OSHA on us, he was completely wrong about his complaint, but OSHA cited us anyway for other stuff.  I was the point person on the audit.  They mostly look for paperwork.  They have no way to assess whether the paperwork was done properly, just that it exists.  We were missing some required paperwork.

So, I think if some company has a record that everyone was vaxxed they are good to go.
