North up the coast and down toward Santa Cruz are quite nice.

The city is an odd beast. Wish I had better pointers, but I tend to experience it walking and shy from tourist spots, though some are quite cool.
I saved your recommendations regarding the Gilroy Garlic Festival and such.  The Monterey Bay Aquarium (for the girls) and Pebble Beach (for me) are locked in. I have a cousin in Salinas.  Will also visit some wineries north of the city.

Ha, that’s a pretty good set. My parents went to the aquarium recently (they are retired and exploring). Said good things. I couldn’t tell you how old I was the last time I went.

BTW for wineries I recommend Sonoma over Napa. Napa is ridiculously expensive for tastings these days, and crowded. Sonoma is much more low-key.

And don't be afraid of hitting up little wineries you've never heard of. All the "big name" ones are tourist traps anyway.

I will say that Beringer is absolutely beautiful, and their cave tour is a lot of fun.

I was there around 1990.  I high school friend of mine living in the hills south of Los Gatos spent a long Saturday showing me the area.

Friday evening I met him and his wife in Oakland for a baseball game.  Saturday morning drove down highway 1, meeting a few spots where he went scuba diving with a group.

The aquarium in Monterey, a visit to the Pebble Beach club house(didn't play) wine tasting on the 2nd or 3rd floor on Cannery Row overlooking the bay, then a great seafood dinner before I had to get back to the Tiburon Lodge.  Was a great weekend for a young guy from Iowa

As your community bank, we want to keep you updated on developments surrounding the recent IRS Bank Reporting Proposal that we alerted you about last week.
With bipartisan opposition growing against the plan — which would require Banks to report information to the IRS on accounts with more than $10,000 — lawmakers appear to have dropped the proposal from Congress's latest spending bill.

The news comes after financial institutions across the country made their customers aware of the plan, which resulted in intense pushback from the public (and customers like you).

While the proposal has been dropped from the House bill, there is still a possibility that it could be added back at a later point in the legislative process.

We will keep you updated on the latest developments on our website page, including links to resources and ways to contact your government representatives.

Absolutely everything there is mermaid themed. Everywhere you look, there's a mermaid staring back at you.

I finally had to break down and buy one as a souvenir. It was a little tricky flying her home on the plane, but she was a good sport about it.
