You've inserted an important word that changes my point.  I'm not going to bother with you, as you're a dishonest interlocutor.

Kind of impressive that the opposition to the Establishment have elevated themselves in just a few short years from a bunch of uneducated trailer trash voting against their best financial interests, to a bunch of rich White guys who only care about money.

Speaking in extremes again, lol.  It's like you can't stop yourself.

The rich white guys who only care about money trick the uneducated trailer trash to vote against their best financial interests, and have been for years.  They dupe them with ideology and naming every horrific idea something vaguely patriotic and nice-sounding.

It's blatant and obvious....sad and ugly.

Thanks, it is always fun to watxh the Establishment Whores try to make sense of the Establishment's contradicting messages. Impressive mental gymnastics, right there.

I'm pretty sure I can caricature voters on both sides with sweeping generalizations favorable to neither, but it largely would be a sweeping generalization.

I know a fair number of people vote for party, regardless of who happens to be running.  It's easier that way.

We had a concert last night, got back in time to watch the Bravos win.  They featured Midori, a violinist of some note, ha, playing the Tchaikovsky.  It was impressive.  She's a tiny woman and plays fiercely, with her eyes closed.  I feared her bow would break.

Violin bows can cost tens of thousands of dollars, don't ask me why.

We had to show our vax card to get in, masks required, etc., sat elbow to elbow, it was 90% capacity.  Lady next to me informed me she was coughing a bit but had three vaxes.  The other lady was my wife.

Few things in life are really blatant and obvious, hardly a one is in politics.

"A fanatic is one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject." - Winston Churchill
No one tries to change my mind, all they do is poo-poo and name-call.
And I'm not changing the subject because this is important.  40% of the country (in this particular situation) is being duped, and while they'll never have ideologies aligned with mine (AND THAT'S OKAY), I at least want them to look at things without the veil over their eyes.

If people are going to make a bad decision (for themselves), I simply want them to do it with full knowledge of what's actually happening.  My entire extended family is far-right Trumpistan rural southern folks.  And I love them.  And they're the uncool kids duped into being told they can come to the cool kids party (by the uber-wealthy-led GOP) but they show up and are never let inside the house.  And instead of getting frustrated or mad and looking around for another party, they're inexplicably spending their time mowing the grass outside the party and trimming the hedges and telling anyone passing by how great the people inside the house are.  It's what the kids online call being a "simp."

It defies reason.  All I want is for people to act reasonably.  But that's so far gone that all there is to do is keep pointing out what's happening.

as long as you understand, ........... the far-left urban folks are ALSO the uncool kids duped into being told they can come to the cool kids party (by the uber-wealthy-led DEM) but they show up and are never let inside the house.  And instead of getting frustrated or mad and looking around for another party, they're inexplicably spending their time mowing the grass outside the party and trimming the hedges and telling anyone passing by how great the people inside the house are.  It's what the kids online call being a "simp."

I'd say 80% of the country is being "duped" when it comes to politics, on both sides.

Of course a partisan is going to claim it not his half, but the other half.

It's entirely possible BOTH options being provided range from bad to worse.

this is my take, both options are worse than bad

and one option is not a percent or two better than the other option

both options are the same option

I tend to chuckle when someone talks to me about how wonderful their side is and how awful the other side is.  It's predictable of course.  The other side is a bunch of "woke" over educated unrealistic communists, or uneducated racist red necks who have no clue what's in their best interest.

Ask a Florida fan about your typical Bulldog fan and you get the same sort of response.
