Taco Bell is disgusting but I can't say I don't crave it on occasion.  I ate a ton of it during my undegrad days in college, like many other folks.

I've started frequenting Jersey Mike's for whatever reason.  
It's so strange to me that the line for Cane's is infinite while Portillo's and a dozen other places aren't.  
I went out around midnight last night for food and my options were McDonalds, Whataburger, In-and-Out, and Cane's.  I kind of went to Whataburger by default, as McDonalds is McDonalds and the other two had 30+ cars in the lines.  

I'll never ever ever understand waiting 45 min for fast food.  Get something from a gas station, lol.

Taco Bell tacos are cheap meat, not particularly flavorfully seasoned, covered in cheese shredded to about the diameter of a human hair that tastes more like the anti-caking agent covering it than actual cheese, and limp lettuce. You can make it a "supreme" and get a tiny squirt of sour cream and a few diced tomatoes. 

Yeah, you get hot sauce, which is necessary to make it palatable. And their "Fire" sauce is one step above mild. You don't even get real hot sauce. 

Pretty much the entire rest of their menu is the same, except upcharging to wrap that crap in more cheese and a soft tortilla (ooh, it's a "gordita"!), or serve it over chips (ooh, it's "nachos bellgrande"!), etc. 

Most fast food is terrible and just designed to fill your face with cheap calories. I get it. But for Taco Bell to be palatable, even when compared to other fast food, you'd better be drunk or high. 

What if you're drunk as shit at 8PM?

This Taco Bell slander shall not stand. Taco Bell is the perfect fast food. It's fast food - of course it is greasy, salty, cheesy and all the other things. It's the same meat that McDonald's serves, just actually seasoned to taste like something. Then they wrap it in cheese and a crunchy shell. Then you douse it with hit sauce. A man who knows the various flavors of Taco Bell hot sauce by name is a man who has made some runs to the border. 

You also can't improve on it. Sure, you can make better tacos. But you can't make better Taco Bell tacos. Chik Fil A is just bland fried chicken. Anyone can make a good hamburger. But no one can make a better Taco Bell taco. It can't be done.
