Each morning I bring up my weather report, and every day this week Atlanta has had lower Ts than Cincy, and lower RH as well, and that is not unusual I find.  Summers here just last longer than there.

Right now it's 95°F and 45% RH in both places, oddly enough, I think today is the hottest it's been all summer.
RH?

whats the big deal about relative humidity

I know RH is the % of moister in the air considering what the temp is

why express it like that

forget relative

just tell me how much moister is in the air

I dont care what the temp is

Isn't that what the Heat Index is for?  Temperature with a factor for RH?
Relative humidity is useful for purposes other than how hot it makes you feel.
It's a component in calculating takeoff distances and climb rates in airplanes, for example.

Electric bill is roughly $100/mo around here, sans AC.

Just showed up for the past month. $326.

I guess that's not worst case scenario... I was worried it might be >400...

My electric bill is around $350 in the summer months.  That's 3800 sqft, with A/C running all day long.

Yeah we have two A/Cs as well.  All electric on the A/C, the gas runs the furnace in the winter.

I also have a pool and during the summer the primary pump runs 8 hours per day, every day, and that uses a decent amount of electricity on top of the A/C.
