I think that's the same Clouseau movie that he's exercising on the parallel bars and dismounts and goes straight down the staircase - it was funny, gets up and acts like nothing is wrong. The Pink Panther series should be in the favorite flix catagory
Suburbia:Where they tear out the trees & then name streets after them.

Weather forecast here is 92°F today and 91°F tomorrow and then now more 90s.  I hope.

We haven't reached 94°F this summer, and didn't last year either, so it's been decent.

Football weather up ahead, and football season.  yay.

Hoping to go one more day without air conditioning here... Supposed to be a high of 84, which is about 3 degrees over my "no a/c limit", but I'm going to wait and see if it gets there.

Starting tomorrow, the 10-day shows high 80s to low 90s every day.

You made it all the way to late August without AC, and you are throwing in the towel now?

We could very well have temps well in excess of 90*F all the way into October.  Even if the temp dips into the 80's we still need A/C due to the humidity.  It's not unusual to run the AC periodically into November and December, some days switching between heat and AC.

I always wanted to live somewhere that had a true 4 seasons, with a longer spring and fall.  I would trade ~10*F of summer heat for a little colder winters.  I don't mind winters really, I handle the cold OK.  Got down to ~11*F here during Freezemageddon and I worked outside all day for several days.

I hate winter and don't give a rip about 4 seasons.  I'd love to move somewhere tropical where it never gets below the 60s.

It is amazing how dependent many humans are on climate control, considering it is a rather modern invention.

If you turn it off altogether it takes a day or three to get used to it, and then you don't even notice.

No, I had a stretch through July and August already where the AC needed to be run.

We just had a week of reprieve (a lot of which was missed because I was in CO) from the heat, so I've had it turned off.

I'm in a house built in the 70s with little in the way of insulation and drafty windows. Normal electric bill is $100/mo. The last one (just a little AC needed) was $250. Trying to keep this month's under $400. All for 1200sf.

I generally don't use climate control 10 1/2 months of the year. And that includes the "winter", where it basically never gets cold enough in SoCal to turn on the heat.

But I don't particularly want to get used to 90 degrees in my house. Plus it would be mean to the dog. He needs the AC, so I get to benefit too... :72:

Where I come from, Spring lasts like 4 minutes, and you go from snow to 80 like.. RIGHT NOW. And then you go back to snow. Screw that.

Fall is a bit better, but snow in October sucks. Screw that too.

Then winter... You don't see the sun but for a few days, from November through March. Double screw that.

I suppose a place like Nashville would be a good spot for you.

Run a bandanna under cold water, and wear it on your head.

You'll be "cutting glass" in a matter of minutes.
