I mean, they give them four years, traditionally
There was talk on the Trump side during the campaign that Biden wouldn't last four years, so a vote for him was a vote for Kamala Harris to be POTUS.
Could turn out to be true.
My MIL thinks that if Biden stepped down, Trump would be reinstalled in office.
She's 89 and not thinking very clearly.

Any military response to the 9-11 attacks that was more than firing cruise missiles at an aspirin factory was going to provoke ("empower," if one wishes) a more violent response from the Islamists.
They weren't empowered because we responded. They were empowered because we destroyed the Iraqi government and there was no local power to hold them in check.

OK.

So how does that mean that we shouldn't have stayed longer in Afghanistan?

It doesn't, though trying to predict the results of political upheaval is fraught with many errors. Political stability in the region is good, even if the forum it comes in is offensive.

WASHINGTON—Declaring that every affluent child in America has the right to a well-balanced brunch, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced the launch of a $40 million school brunch program aimed at distributing brioche french toast and smoked salmon to the nation’s richest school districts. “We found that 70 percent of students in wealthy communities were not receiving their recommended allowance of eggs Benedict and fresh-squeezed orange juice,” Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack told reporters Friday. “Quite simply, we believe all children of privilege deserve a proper, well-composed brunch plate with complimentary jalapeno cornbread mini muffins and honey butter on the side. With this new program, we can finally begin to offer the superior culinary experience that until now has been sorely missing in school cafeterias from Greenwich, CT to Palo Alto, CA.” Department officials said that if its brunch program proves successful, they remain open to the possibility of spending an additional $80 million annually to add live jazz music.

That's easy for us to say when it's other people who will suffer from the offensive form of stability.  Why are American liberals silent on the human rights crisis that is beginning?
And that issue doesn't even deal with the fact that we have, on a world stage, tucked our tails and run, abandoning our commitments and our allies.  The leaders in countries hostile to ours--like Russia and China--certainly have not failed to take note.
U.S. promises to defend friendly states are less of a deterrent to Russian expansion in the Baltic states or in Georgia or Ukraine than they were two weeks ago.  India now has to watch its southern and western borders more carefully, and can be less of a help in deterring Chinese aggression.  Jihadist movements everywhere are emboldened.  It is a great strategic failure.

If it hasnt been said yet it will be

I could come up with several more spins but too lazy
So you're calling out things no one is even saying because you're sure someone will say it?  Do you not see how crazy that is?

May be a cartoon
Is this in regards to the 2016 presidential election?

The plan was for the Afghan "army" we built and financed to hold off the Taliban for a few weeks. That was obviously a misstep. Would have been better off forgiving student loans.

Is there a wide difference between the Taliban, supposedly our sworn enemy, and Saudi Arabia, one of of our bigger allies in the region, in how they treat women and or other social issues? Not especially. In fact, Saudi Arabia assassinated a progressive who wrote for the Washington Times. Our response was basically to do nothing. While we could napalm the country, I don't think that would be that helpful to women in the region, nor impress any other country. To the extent that other countries want us to be invading and whatnot, I'm not sure that is really the case.
