The Governor is a very smart man.

There is a reason Florida is getting 1200 (legal) people moving here per day, mostly from New York, California and Illinois.
Best Governor in the USA by a god damn 100 miles.

He's kept this state open, great & growing, the people working, and the opportunities to make money and create business flowing. Why the hell do you think everyone is escaping those failing liberal shitholes to come to Florida lol?

Even Disney is saying "hey we need to gtfo shithole California" - Disney is moving 2,000+ high paying jobs from California to Orlando (avg salary of $125k+ per year) with plans to move more.

Every major real estate firm, investment firm, hotshot nightclub, and restaurant from NYC are opening shop in South Florida right now. It's insane. And the latest "key to NYC vaccine passport" initiviate that fake Italian f*kface De Blasio implemented is only going to make the NYC exodus happen even faster. NYC is a sinking shithole, never coming back again. It's sad. All thanks to god awful leadership from a rapist elderly murdering Italian and a phony Italian dweeb.

Florida. The next California.

Certainly is when it comes to real estate prices. The high-end residential market especially- which has always been insane down here- is just going bananas. Sale prices are putting anything in California to shame.

Palm Beach island alone- a tiny island which has maybe 2,000 homes total- has had I believe 30 some odd homes in the last year alone have sold for over $40 million. With 9 or 10 of them cracking $100 million. There is one about to go up for sale at $200+ million and it'll sell at that price. Watch.

I keep forgetting that this is the most important thing, with all the news updates of dead people.

My friend, there are primarily two reasons. And the man in charge did not eliminate the income tax (been that way since before any of us were born), nor did he make it a place without winter.

This is not to speak on his politics or whatnot. But that place has been where NYers have been going forever. Not sure about Illinois. Ca I think is in large part rising taxes, but also a more interconnected world. It's never been more easy to be a continent away and feel like you're not (signed, someone a continent away from home who acknowledges he won't be able to afford his way back unless he inherits a house).

Have to disagree.  And believe me- I wish people weren’t flooding in here

Came in in January of 16. Was recruited to a job I really liked.  I live in an area where people “winter” so it was seasonal.  Bustling December- April, deserted the rest of the year.

it’s not like that now.  Bustling would be a 5 level downgrade. People are moving here at a pace none of the locals can believe.  And they are starting businesses- in many cases moving their business.  I talk to these people- I have to for my job.  I also talk to them casually like when I dine out or golf, etc.

it goes way beyond no personal income tax.  The business climate is welcoming, including taxes, the housing and new construction market is robust, and other industries are ripping it.

But people are leaving the big cities in fear of crime, higher taxes, anti law enforcement craziness- all the things you see on video.

Yes- Florida has been a destination for a long time- but the intense pace going on is other worldly and that started shortly after the pandemic. There are tangible reasons people are leaving one place and going to others at a record pace.

As I was typing all of that I learned from the local news that Amazon announced it’s opening its newest fulfillment center about 15 minutes up the street from me creating 500 new jobs.  That’s the third major fulfillment center to be added to this market in the last few months and that’s just this market.

They are not doing that because of no personal income tax or weather, they are going where the business climate is the best and where the economy demands their services.

I sensed your orgasm as you climaxed typing the final paragraph.

I'd love to live in this binary world where the only things that exist are Florida and shitholes...

Florida isn't in the top half of that list. It is #5 on the list of highest median age.
